Before the judging...
This picture is the side of a hotel that I used to go to before covid-19. Why was I there? Extremely embarrassing to say but I could find roaches there. What kind of roaches, you ask. The kind that gets you high.
Yeah... not the safest way to smoke because you never know where it came from or what might be in it, but, when one feels the need to find some green and you don't have the money for rich, rich people dropping the rest of what they don't finish is a way to go.
I'll sometime ask people too for a toke, not since covid-19. I haven't been in the area of the hotel since all of this started.
The pie sign I found laying around one night. So, I picked it up off the ground and took the picture that was before you. I found it interesting that this week's entries were a little dark. Fun stuff.
The hotel is also right by the Starbucks that I used to go to before covid-19. Right now, the mall is closed down. I went their for water and internet. I'm fortunate that I have another place to take care of these needs.

Congrats everyone! I'm a little late in visiting this post, I don't know what the hell happened. I was tied up getting a recovery account set up, of which I had no clue of how it's done in the early part of the week, and I think that threw things off. Then I saw the round 20 post so I started on it and got lost I guess.
I'm honored to get 1st place with such great and talented writing company here. And much thanks to @tristancarax for hosting this great contest, and also to @felt.buzz for his generous support to the contest, along with all the other supporters!
@tristancarax, I appreciate the backstory for the prompt photo; it's quite interesting! I would have never guessed you'd picked that pie sign up off the ground and put it there. The reason you were there was a good one, but instead of hitting the roach with contact, maybe if you got one of those little metal fake cigarette things you could put it in there, and use it without direct contact. Then you could clean the device with alcohol afterward to be extra cautious.
I got from the stories this week that people might have thought that the actual picture might be above a doorway or some other entrance.
I do use a glass pipe. Most people roll blunts. I don't like tobacco so having a different way to smoke works for me.
