Some more new spring work from my local canyons

"In My Dreams"

A chaotic but gratifying scene to compose and photograph. I'm tempted to go give this one another try now that the foliage and greens should be a bit more lively. I tried to get everything kinda pointing towards the center of the image. It proved to be easier said than done!

"Immersion of Senses"

Another difficult scene to photograph. I'm not going to say there is a such thing as too much green, but it can be difficult to work with so much of one color. This was my second attempt at this spot. When I visited during a previous year, the water was just a trickle and the scene simply did not work. It was great to see it flowing so heavily!

"Earth Veneration"

I almost debated binning this photo, but something about the rock walls and nice boulders held my attention. Canyons are often all about the walls for me. There is something about them that feels powerful and timeless, despite the fact that there are often signs of the contrary.

I hope you enjoyed this set of my photographs. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. As usual, I'd love to know which is your favorite!

PS for the forest photography enthusiasts out there: I'm currently writing an instructional ebook on forest photography! Head to my website if you would like to learn more!
