A bitter memory, but one of the earliest

Hello dear visitors

Time flies, I think this is no news anymore and unfortunately many of the events of the past disappear with time, which seems to be our enemy sometimes.

My childhood......

I had a small part of my childhood during the communist period, so I don't have too many memories from the first years of my life, and if I had, they weren't really memories.

But I have one that I still remember now, every time it comes to mind it amuses me to no end.

Let me tell you what this is all about.

My first childhood drunk, hehe.

In the post-decembrist period (the period after the fall of communism) my parents used to go on picnics with their friends on weekends, here very close to us we have a spectacular forest and a river that crosses it.

So, one weekend I was picnicking in the woods with my parents, it was a hot summer day, I had found a spot right by the river, it was so relaxing and green.

My parents and their friends were in charge of the barbecue, and we kids were playing alongside the adults.

I was a bike enthusiast, and yes, I had one with training wheels (I hadn't learned to ride a bike very well), after a few bike rides I was thirsty, as if I had drunk water from the river.

I looked for a bottle of water, I couldn't find it, the adults didn't pay attention to me, instead I found a half-liter dark bottle without a lid, I drank a few sips and then stopped, the liquid inside was very bitter.

I quenched my thirst a little, so after about ten minutes I decided to resume my bike rides.

Here came the surprise, I managed to get on the bike and after a few centimeters (yes centimeters) I actually fell off the bike, this happened several times in a row, until my parents noticed this.

When they saw that they got really scared, they didn't realize what was wrong with me until they took me in their arms and smelled the beer coming out of my mouth, then they realized I was a little drunk.

It all sorted itself out relatively quickly, after a dip in the river and a nap in the shade.

This, my first drunkenness is the earliest memory of my childhood, after which many others followed(not drunks, don't think about it, hehe), I was just a kid.

My dear visitors, thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this memory of mine, I am curious about yours, and until the next meeting I hug you.

THE END!

If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

P.S. The attached picture you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone(Samsung Galaxy S21), and the text is also designed by me.

Yours @triplug😉

An early drunker 😀

How did this experience affect you later, did you avoid alcohol in your teenage days?

Look, that's a very good question.
As a teenager I used to have a beer with friends, but now I drink alcohol very rarely, probably three to four times a year and in very small quantities.

First life experiences, teach us a lot in later life.
Because of your experience with alcohol, I remembered my experience with running across the street.
I don't run across the street today (rarely, only when I'm running so I don't get run over), you don't drink (rarely, only when you need to toast)...
We learned how to do it when we were very young 😀

You're right.
The running past the street thing I've had too, you know, I live in the country, and when I moved from the country to the city it was different.
Until I got used to the city, I used to run across the street, until I realized it was a very dangerous thing to do.
Honestly, I never liked city life, and today I still live in the country and in the near future I won't leave my place.
P.S.I apologize for replying so late, I was away on vacation in Thassos for a few days and didn't take my laptop with me.

I've been checking your profile a few times in the last few days, hoping to see some post from an interesting trip. And then I realized that you are probably traveling 😀
It's just a shame that I didn't know where you were, we could have met and gotten to know each other (on Tassos, in Keramoti or in Kavala 🙂).

Aww, have you been there now?
Yes, we also passed through Kavala and took the ferry from Keramoti to Thassos.

Aww I'm so sorry.
I went on vacation without my laptop, I don't use my phone to make my posts.

(Edited)

Some other time, in Romania or Serbia 🙂
It's easier with a laptop, but I always use a mobile phone... It's always at hand, both for photography and posts.

Lucky you it was just beer and not rakija what you found :D Funny story though, thanks for sharing :)

Even that day we didn't have any rakija (we call it "țuica" or "pălinca"), I was lucky otherwise it could have been much worse.
Nice to see you around😉
Have a wonderful Sunday.

We call this kind of spirit "pálenka", which probably means the same thing like your "pălinca" :) It´s the general name for any fruit spirit and then, you specify the name based on what kind of fruit it was actually made from :) I think we already talked about it and concluded that we share this "piece of culture and tradition" :)

You're right, and I'm sure we're talking about the same product but with a specific name for the area.

I apologize for replying so late, but I was away for a few days in Thassos and didn't have my laptop with me.

Cheers!

Yes, it was a vacation with everything, hehe.
I caught exactly the period that I like, no crowds, everything is open and I can swim in the sea.

This childhood experience is memorable indeed, it was hilarious. Thankfully, you were just tipsy, otherwise, it might have gotten worst. They surely knew how to treat a mini hangover. 😀

Lol a funny childhood memory, whatever made you not think the bitter taste meant it was something maybe poisonous haha😂 because children have a sweet tooth

Indeed, the risk of drinking something poisonous was high, but I was lucky, hehe.
Thanks for stopping by.

It's one of those kids honest mistakes, you were just in search of water to quench your taste and seeing that liquid in the bottle you just had to take something.

Glad you were fine in the end.

Yes that's right, being a child you don't know too much, so there are mistakes, thank you very kindly for stopping by.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
