A Cabbage Eating Dragon!?

Good morning, folks!

While I walking around Braga, a large city in the North of Portugal, I encountered a very cool sculpture of a dragon, which was standing in the middle of a small garden.

The statue itself was the thing that got my attention. But then I noticed something peculiar... in this place there weren't the usual decorative flowers but... Cabbages? Real edible cabbages? Whaaaat...? 😲

It's the first time I see something like this. Cabbages are usually planted in private gardens, so that people can pick them up and eat them. Who the heck plants cabbages in a public square? 🤪

And this raises another question: Why was this dragon protecting the cabbages?

I know that times are strange... but... Could it be that dragons have turned vegetarians? 😆

I hope you liked this shot. Please leave a comment down below. Cheers!

I'd like to see a closer look of the vegan dragon, it looks so good! Nice photo shoot.

It looks to me more like kale than a cabbage, and I think it could be the so-called Ornamental kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala) which is eatable but also very decorative. I saw it live in white, violet, and lavender colour (in the center), but they say it could also be red, pink, or even blue.

However, the ones you "grabbed" in your photo look great! 😀
