Watermelon Super Bowl From Bengong's Tea

We have been having a lot more bubble tea since the restrictions have been lifted, it feels like we have been living under a rock for months. We found Bengong’s Tea inside Westfield at Chatswood in Sydney the other day so we thought we give it a try. What bought my attention was the nice decor they had plus the range of cakes on offer. Normally bubble tea places just sell the drinks but this one also offers desserts which is a nice combo if you are catching up with friends or want a place to rest after a long day shopping.

The menu is pretty big for both drinks and cakes. We decided to just get drinks and take it with us as we were still very full from lunch. It was hard to choose from a large menu and the variety seems to be a lot different to the generic brands elsewhere. I was a warmish day so I opt for the watermelon super bowl. I asked the staff how big is the bowl, they said its pretty huge. Thinking if I can’t finish it off, my kids can so why not and give it a go.

While we were waiting, we checked the cakes out. They got some really good variety and there were mini breads with various flavours as well. People seems to love this place especially for those who love to post on social media, definitely a place to get some cute pictures while have a drink. After a few minutes, my drink is ready. The guy said to me don’t hold the cup from the top or the bag handle as it is too big and it might overflow but rather hold it from the middle so it is stable due to the size. I have to say the drink is pretty impressive not only the size, but the taste was delicious. Plenty of watermelon and lychee jelly type of thing and it did take us a while to finish the whole thing off. For just under $10 a bucket full, it is pretty good value especially if you need to cool off from a hot day. Can’t wait to go back and get another one once we hit summer weather.
