Joys Of Interplanatery Farming (Lightyear Frontier Photomode)
I don't have a lot of nice things to say, but I do have to say, this one's growing on me all thanks to the beautiful environment design. Problem is, they don't have HDR visual option outside of using one as a camera option. So that kind of puts a damper here on the uploads.
For a farming simulator, taking place on a far away planet in another solar system, using a mech for taking care of the creatures, and farming alien produce. Plus the red neck, Southern vibes really adds this charm to the atmosphere overall. Like, I'm driving a hulking mech to plant, farm, and pickup crops, there are alien weeds attack events, and the sky box looks so alive.
I can make some easy comparisons to other farming games, I.G: Slime Rancher 2. There's also the fact that it feels unfinished, mostly because it is an early access title. But no worries, there's plenty to look at by the time I'll be done. They are sights to behold.
Oh hey, I know what one of these are. I saw those olive oil pressers before in FB reels.
My first day and I was tasked to make a tent soon as possible. Everybody was asleep, that's sort of why.
Ahh, resource hunting. Just have to use my Spike Saw to drill the aluminum out. I believe I was given 5 different tools to use, one just jabs or cuts down trees, bushes, and other things as well.
Damn, nighttime and just looking at the planet from the distance, it looks so surreal. The other earthly planet somehow is getting a red glow on top of it. We're not even at the earliest of morning. But yeah, appreciating the view after feeding the wildlife, and scrounging for more resources.
Sometimes, my task involves going on foot, and into musty caves in order to just use my pickup axe for gathering precious minerals inside, including coal, and throwing it to my mech to store.
Things were getting interesting in the game, after going through the initial phase, I managed to grow out my base, and build an upgrade station. I've realized my jet boost lasts short, and I run pretty slow. But this was the beginning of things, I needed to collect so many things out there.
It's going to be a long way to pave my success, but seeing that I managed to get somewhere in the span of 5hrs, I've realized that for a game this sort of challenging, it does really reward you when you've accomplished things. Eventually I even got a merchant coming daily, and then there are events where I have to protect my crops from flying weeds.
Yeah, this is me trying the HDR option. It looks to contrasted in color. Least the goop looks good. I have to clear this new area by using my water hoser, before getting access to everything, including wildlife to feed.
This is noon now, damn I didn't realize the planet had a ring around and with a green moon. Surreal.
New area, more stuff to clean. More treasures to find, down below, the purple stuff are artifacts, and the one above is this interesting red pebble. Could sell well to the merchant. One of those hidden treasures of the specific area, but I need to tend to my farm, so came and halfway left.
Red Crystals, real handy things. Farm is growing, more materials and resources to process and grind. I got a legit operation working up right now, it's all smooth sailing from here.
The merchant has finally arrived. All's well if it ends well with money, of course.
