Feeling Contented...having less make me happier

A lot of people never feel good enough and they always want to be better than they are. I used to push myself to do unachievable goals of what others think I should be and it made me tired sometimes. It's likely that I've been struggling with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt.

When I feel like I'm not good enough, I can't concentrate on anything else and I struggle to find happiness in any part of my life. I felt I should be doing more and trying harder. It sounds like a cliche, but it's my true experience.

The feeling of never feeling good enough can lead to stress and anxiety, which can lead to poor mental and physical health. We judge the things we have and that we don't have constantly. We compare our accomplishments, possessions, and life to others. Oftentimes we measure ourselves against people we know and people we don't know.

We live in a society that thrives on more and more, but the reality is that we are all capable of feeling content with what we have. Personal growth should not just be about aiming for another level or upgrading your material life. It should also involve self-awareness and understanding that we deserve to be fulfilled with what we already have.

Every day seemed the same to me during this total lockdown, so I have more time for self-reflection. As a result, I learned to celebrate the little thing I hardly enjoyed before, understood more about myself and more importantly I know what is enough. I am truly happy with what I have and am grateful for the opportunities and all of the wonderful people in my life. I am surrounded by many people that love me unconditionally, and it's hard to imagine a better feeling than that. My friends and family also know how great their lives are because I'm around too.

Finding the right balance between self-care and fulfilling our needs is key in achieving this sense of contentment. I've realised so many things in my life: rather than kill myself trying to be something different, let's just be myself and enjoy what I have in my life.

Life is so much better when I could simplify all of this and be content with what I have. Having less makes me happier

Thank you for visiting me at my blog. Wish you a happy week ahead.♥️

Feeling that you are not good enough most times result from comparing yourself with others. It is very important to be contented and enjoy the little things we have. Sometimes in the strive to be much more, we lose these little things that brings is happiness.

Love it. Sincerely, I used to lose the small happy things, but I have much to learn

The most important is that you have realized your mistakes and you are ready to learn.

Thank you for stopping by, I highly appreciated it. ♥️

We compare our accomplishments, possessions, and life to others. Oftentimes we measure ourselves against people we know and people we don't know.

I think peoples going wrong path with above decision. I also had experience about it because when I got metal down I compared myself between others. But you must compare only with yourself. Don't with others.

I empathize with your feeling of not good enough. I hate suffering on this feeling, but during a long time of schoollife I had been compared myself with other good students by my dad. That is resulted from the love but with wrong way.

I can see your point, and yes same here. However, I can learn how to avoid suffering and be content with what we have. It makes our life much easier ♥️

Thank you Na. Just like you, I used to be stuck in between what I want and have. I have realised that no matter how nice it would be to earn more money, life would be meaningless without a meaningful purpose and a loved one to share it with ♥️♥️

Well said, girl. I am still unconsciously comparing myself with other people sometimes. It's just there in my mind for too long and its not easy to get rid of. But I do achieve one thing. I can recognise it faster now whenever I have the feeling of not good enough, I reassure myself: me today is better than me of yesterday. And that is the important thing.

That would be a wise decision @trangbaby it's a beautiful country to live in and cheap but I would think Vietnam would be very similar.

well written. in addition to what you said above it is also important to get rid of toxic people from your life. they can contribute to your stress and anxiety as well. do what makes you happy and be what you want to be. Have fun and keep posting those beautiful pictures.

I agree that the stress we experience in our lives is heightened when we are surrounded by negative thoughts. Every day, I am inspired by positive, energetic people around me.

Thank you for reading my post and your kind words.
Much appreciated it ♥️

This was lovely. I agree with everything you said in this post. I am at my worst when I compare myself to others and when I focus on what I don’t have compared to what I do have (one of the reasons I had to get off of FB). Unfortunately it’s in our nature as humans to always want more or to never fully be satisfied so we have to practice being content.

Reflecting on our lives is a good practice that helps us put things into perspective. I’m glad you took the time to do this and realize the simplest things can make you happy. Everyone is capable of being content, we just have to take our minds off of wanting more and start appreciating and enjoying the things we already do have as you have stated in your post ~ ❤️

Beautiful photos as always ~

The same thing happened to me, comparing myself to other people and feeling unsatisfied with what I already had, so I constantly wanted to acquire more. Moreover, I wasn't interested in posting to FB since joining Hive. 🙂I'm happy that we found Hive -a better and healthier social network.

Thank you @crosheille, it's always a pleasure to read your comment. Much appreciated it and Have a
