Passengers tells the story of Claire Summers (Anne Hathaway) a psychologist who was assigned to help 10 passengers who were the only survivors of an unfortunate plane crash in order to help them overcome the trauma. Among her patients there is one that stands out, Eric (Patrick Wilson) from the beginning he accepted Claire's help but unlike the other patients he had conditions, he wanted private sessions and that Claire would not treat him as her patient, only then he was willing to talk to her. Between sessions there are different versions of what happened, and it isn't known if it was a human error made by the pilot or if it was a mechanical failure of the plane. Everything becomes strange when some patients stop attending the sessions and Claire is convinced that something is wrong increasing her suspicions that the airline has something to do with the disappearances to cover up their possible mistake that would probably cause the airline to close. What will be the truth behind the disappearances? Claire plans to find out along with Eric.

Almas Pasajeras cuenta la historia de Claire Summers (Anne Hathaway) una psicóloga que fue asignada para ayudar a 10 pasajeros que fueron los únicos sobrevivientes de un desafortunado accidente aéreo con el fin de ayudarlos a superar el trauma. Entre sus pacientes hay uno que destaca Eric (Patrick Wilson) desde el principio el aceptó la ayuda de Claire pero a diferencia de los otros pacientes el tenía condiciones, quería sesiones privadas y que Claire no lo tratará como su paciente, solo así él estaba dispuesto a hablar con ella. Entre las sesiones hay diversas versiones de lo que ocurrió, y no se sabe si fue un error humano que cometió el piloto o si fue una falla mecánica del avión. Todo se torna extraño cuando algunos pacientes dejan de asistir a las sesiones y Claire está convencida de que algo anda mal aumentando sus sospechas de que la aerolínea tiene algo que ver con las desapariciones para cubrir su posible error que probablemente le causaría el cierre de la aerolínea. ¿Cual será la verdad tras las desapariciones? Claire piensa averiguarlo junto con Eric.

This story was very well crafted, everything comes together and takes shape progressively as it unfolds, everything makes sense and everything has a reason to be, this was what I enjoyed most about this film because it isn't easy to achieve such a thing. The twists are constant as are the questions, everything is revealed at the end making everything fit together and explaining every little detail, and even making sense of those little appearances of characters that their scenes at first seem silly and meaningless. I must admit that although I was able to deduce some things, others really took me by surprise, but as I mentioned before everything made sense on a level that I didn't expect at all, making this movie really particular and unique in a way.

Esta historia estuvo muy bien elaborada, todo se va uniendo y tomando forma progresivamente a medida que se desarrolla, todo tiene sentido y todo tiene un porqué también, esto fue lo que más disfruté de este filme porque no es fácil lograr tal cosa. Los giros son constantes al igual que las interrogantes, todo se revela al final haciendo que cada cosa encaje y explicando cada pequeño detalle, y hasta le dan sentido a esas pequeñas apariciones de personajes que sus escenas al principio parecen tontas y sin sentido. Debo admitir que aunque fui capaz de deducir unas cosas, otras realmente me tomaron por sorpresa, pero como mencioné antes todo tuvo sentido a un nivel que no esperaba en lo absoluto, haciendo de esta película realmente particular y única de cierta manera.

I have always loved the work of actor Patrick Wilson, he's so good that he doesn't have to speak to convey so many things, his look can become charming and at the same time quite determined and penetrating. His character Eric was my favorite of this story, from the first moment I liked his personality but once I managed to tie all the ends together I liked him a lot more. I found it totally refreshing to see a male character with a mischievousness and sincerity that is usually seen more in female characters, I must also say that this is the "most normal" role I've seen him in, that's the only way I can describe him without giving anything away.

Siempre me ha encantado el trabajo del actor Patrick Wilson, es tan bueno que no tiene que hablar para transmitir tantas cosas, su mirada puede llegar a ser encantadora y a la vez bastante determinada y penetrante. Su personaje Eric fue mi favorito de esta historia, desde el primer momento me gustó su personalidad pero una vez que logré atar todos los cabos me gustó mucho más. Me pareció totalmente refrescante ver a un personaje masculino con una picardía y sinceridad que usualmente se ve más en personajes femeninos, también debo decir que es el papel "más normal" en el que lo he visto, solo así puedo describirlo sin adelantar nada.

It's no secret that Anne Hathaway is super talented as well as beautiful, her character Claire seemed to me very well structured, she has a marked personality and you can tell that no matter the circumstances she is a woman who can't ignore a person in need, even when she is involved in situations of alert for anyone, she somehow faces that situation by putting herself in danger and all with the purpose of helping someone, no matter if it's a stranger. It was also nice to see that Claire is a person who listens to the advice of others and even though she is a psychologist she is very good at taking as a lesson what she hears from her patients, for all this and more I thought it was a very well done and excellently played character.

No es un secreto que Anne Hathaway es súper talentosa además de hermosa, su personaje Claire me pareció muy bien estructurado, tiene una personalidad marcada y se nota que sin importar las circunstancias es una mujer que no puede ignorar a una persona en necesidad, aún cuando se ve envuelta en situaciones de alerta para cualquiera, ella de alguna forma enfrenta esa situación poniéndose en peligro y todo con el propósito de ayudar a alguien, sin importar si es un desconocido. También fue agradable ver qué Claire es un persona que escucha los consejos de los demás y aunque es psicóloga se le da muy bien tomar como lección lo que escucha de sus pacientes, por todo esto y más me pareció que fue un personaje muy bien hecho y excelentemente interpretado.

This is one of those movies that I love because it demands all your attention at all times, you must really look at everything but absolutely EVERYTHING to somehow guess what is about to happen, it is simply one of those stories where you think you understand everything and suddenly the truth jumps in your face crumbling almost everything you had in mind, but without being too much to digest, I would say that it is a truth that no matter how absurd it may seem gives sense to all those little questions that arise as the story unfolds, which is wrapped in a mystery with a resolution that you do not expect at all.

Esta es una de esas películas que amo porque demanda toda tu atención en todo momento, debes realmente fijarte en todo pero absolutamente TODO para de alguna forma adivinar lo que está por suceder, es simplemente de esas historias dónde crees entenderlo todo y de pronto la verdad te salta en la cara desmoronando casi todo lo que tenías en mente, pero sin ser demasiado que digerir, diría que es una verdad que por más absurda que parezca le da sentido a todas esas pequeñas interrogantes que van surgiendo a medida que se desarrolla la historia que está envuelta en un misterio con un resolución que no esperas para nada.

There are characters that are not what they seem and from the first moment they send you warning signs, that was really attractive of this story because you are discovering everything from Claire's perspective, they don't advance you anything or you don't know anything that she doesn't know, because even the scenes where she isn't there don't tell you much, by themselves they don't reveal anything relevant unless you are someone very intuitive and you have really paid attention to the dialogues as well as to the expressions of the characters and the small details. In particular I think that mystery movies that don't involve any horror are not very good, but this one is definitely the exception, it didn't need a lot of action and not a drop of blood to achieve an excellent story.

Hay personajes que no son lo que parece y desde el primer momento te envían señales de alerta, eso fue realmente atractivo de esta historia porque vas descubriendo todo desde la perspectiva de Claire, no te adelantan nada o no sabes nada que ella no sepa, porque aún las escenas donde ella no está no te dicen mucho, por si solas no revelan nada relevante a menos que seas alguien muy intuitivo y realmente le hayas prestado atención tanto a los diálogos como a las expresiones de los personajes y los pequeños detalles. En lo particular pienso que las películas de misterio que no envuelven nada de terror no son muy buenas, pero esta es definitivamente la excepción, no hizo falta ni mucha acción y ni una gota de sangre para lograr una excelente historia.

I invite you to see it and I put my hands in the fire for this movie. From my point of view everything was excellent, the characters, the acting, the script and especially the story, everything just worked the way it should and maybe even much more. Everything is perfectly understood, nothing is left to the imagination, everything is explained and the explanation is excellent, and even in a certain way gratifying with a tragic touch that by the way they show it seems to be something positive, yes it sounds contradictory but once you see it or if you have already seen it I am sure you will agree with me.

Te invito a verla y meto las manos en en fuego por esta película. Desde mi punto de vista todo estuvo excelente, los personajes, la actuación, el guión y en especial la historia, todo simplemente funcionó de la forma en la que debió y puede que hasta mucho más. Todo se entiende perfectamente, no dejan nada a la imaginación, todo queda explicado y la explicación es excelente, y hasta cierta forma gratificante con un toque trágico que por la forma en la que lo muestran parece ser algo positivo, sí suena contradictorio pero una vez que la veas o si ya la viste estoy seguro de que concuerdas conmigo.
