PLAYING CAMP WHILE LEARN ABOUT TEAMWORK WITH KIDS

Since my two nephews know that I have a hobby of camping and mountain climbing, they are both very excited about the activities I do. What really made them the most was staying in a tent. My oldest nephew is eight years old and my youngest is five.

During their growing up, of course, lots of questions and curiosity keep coming. So, one day when I was off work, my youngest nephew, Rendra, asked me to set up a tent.

I immediately agreed. I think there's something important they should know about camping.

At first, I wanted to set up a tent in the yard, but because it was drizzling, I ended up pitching my tent indoors.

what are the advantages of learning camping for kids?

  • Give them understanding about team work

From starting to take the tent, installing the tent frame, the two of them finally enthusiastically helped install it carefully. Both looked happy because it was not a heavy job.
The task of assembling this tent framee reminds them of putting together a puzzle. they must be patient and careful so that the tents are properly connected. Then, the rest, the task of setting up the tent is completely mine.

  • Mutual sharing

After seeing that their dream tent had been made, they immediately scrambled over who could enter first. I knew that the two brothers were fighting over and trying to have a bigger space.
From this, I told them, that when they were out in the wild, when they only had shelters as large as the tents they now live in, they had to share them. As leavened as a place to live, I also tell them interesting stories about the beauty of sharing in many ways, as well as about other good things.

  • Build creative ideas

Actually, since this was just a simulation for camp, there wasn't too much difficulty to deal with. It's just that, for about two hours we played in the tent, they already looked bored and felt this was no longer fun. Then, I provoke them to do something if it's interesting. When I ask this, I'm holding a book, Then, they rush to find their own books. Finally, my eldest nephew read his own book, and my little nephew asked me to read to him.

We enjoyed the rest of the day in the tent until the next day. Things like eating and other things were done as usual. We still eat with our family. Their mother and father were also very happy because their two children enjoyed the day playing while learning.
