The Impossible Hidden Beach, Phuket Island.
Today I was in one of those moods where I just wanted to get of the beaten track and lose myself in the Phuket lush jungles having the day of work was the perfect opportunity and the day could have been any bluer, I wasn't sure which direction or which trail, I was going to attack today in Phuket Island there are about 15 well known lookout points and from some of these lookout points there would normally be some dirt tracks you can follow that will lead you down to the most known beaches but not all viewpoints have these trails.
I didn't just want to take the usual known trails that everyone takes, I wanted to find my own trail and explore it myself, I remembered driving along the main beach road that runs around the coastline of Phuket Island, where I saw a huge metal gate which had opening hours written on the wall it was between Black Rock Viewpoint and Windmill Viewpoint which both of these viewpoints I have already conquered.
Black Rock Viewpoint and Windmill Viewpoint is between Patong town and Rawai town the stretch of road between these two viewpoints is about 8km so I was looking for this huge metal gate with opening hours written on the wall wish me luck, I do remember this gate been about in the middle between these two viewpoints, anyways I jumped on my motorbike driving slowly keeping one eye on the road and the other eye pointing sharp right looking for this huge metal gate and about 3km down the road I spotted this gate yep it was going to be a good day.

The fascinations about finding this particular gate, is a while back we drove pass this gate and I remember my friend telling me if you go in through that gate it will take you to a shrine and a small burial ground overlooking the Andaman Sea what a cool place to be laid at rest overlooking the Andaman Sea and them small temple statues in the photos below you see are the headstones and then he said there are some rough uneven dirt trials that will take you down to a hidden beach that no one really knows about this was my ideal place to explore.

This would be the exact perfect spot that I would love to be put at rest amongst all this beautiful nature listening to the sound of the ocean but not now shall put it in my will.

The bit of cement and dirt road leading down to the shrine was fairly good but past the shrine I could see what my friend was talking about it definitely wasn't suited for motorbike, so I left my bike be and started hiking down towards the bottom of this mountain in hope not to get lost and find this hidden beach, I had to be careful walking down this dirt trail it was dry and slippery like walking on marbles, hanging on to tree branches and whatever slowly making my way down enjoying the breathtaking views at the same time and trying to balance myself to take some photos.

It would have been a pretty rough narrow dangerous ride down on the motorbike besides even if I attempted it and made it down safely I would have never got the motorbike back up the hill walking down was a much wiser idea plus I got to enjoy the views without ending up in the burial ground up above.
The breeze and smell of the sea the stunning views across to Rawai beach on one side and Patong beach on the other side just made me feel so alive, I have had dreams about this and here I was.
I was about half way down this rough dirt trail and hadn't fallen of the edge yet as I came out of the pot hole over the hill through the jungle, I could finally see this hidden beach in the far distance, I suddenly felt like Marco Polo discovering this beach but looks like I had missed my target this beautiful hidden beach seemed like it couldn't be accessed from were I was but curiosity kept me going.
Seems like I had walked away from the shrine as I could see the point of the shrine temple on the mountain behind me maybe if I had gone straight down from the shrine I would have landed right on the beach but I would, have had to swing through the trees like Tarzan.
I really wanted to go and feel that soft white sand between my toes but I would of had to climb some pretty rugged rocks and swim a bit which I wouldn't have minded but time was getting on and I needed to climb back up that dirt trail and that wasn't going to be easy next time I will go the opposite way and it should take me directly onto that beautiful hidden beach hopefully.

Finally made it back up the hill to my motorbike after taking a few deep breaths and taking a last view at what I had just accomplished, tired as hell I rode my bike towards home but not before making one more stop at the Windmill Viewpoint to grasp this magical sunset that was unfolding right before my eyes what a why to end the day mother nature could not have been any kinda to me today the sea of red.
This post is also for #wenesdaywalk run and organized by @tattoodjay

Even if you didn’t make it to the beach the views are breathtakingly beautiful
Glad you didn’t have to try to be Tarzan and swing through the vines
