Palm Square Complex in Kata Town is about 10km from Patong Town, is where we were staying and it's a lovely drive over the mountains, just over a 20 minute drive. Kate Beach and the Town is well known for having lot's of graffiti work along the streets on the beach walls and many complexes around Kata Town are painted out with beautiful professional graffiti artwork like Palm Square that, I will be showing you, but first I will show you the graffiti artwork on the walls leading down and around the Palm Square complex.

The Palm Square complex was at one point a abandoned building till a Thai group bought it out and the builders and graffiti artist got very creative and today one section of this complex has been completed and turned into a very famous restaurant which is called the Palm Square Restaurant, it's known by the local, expats and many foreign tourist and they are still expanding. It is still one of a few places that has been opened all the way through despite this pandemic, it is well known for it's live music, great food, the great atmosphere and it's friendly helpful staff.

The inside bottom floor has been done in beautiful wooden floors the tables and chairs are nicely set all around this huge room giving everyone a good view of the live bands that play at nights and the food they serve, is a great mix of many dishes from Western, European and of course Asian cuisines catering for everyone's taste and likes and it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner no bands play during the day it's just nice chill out music via stereo while sitting out on the tables and chairs either inside, outside or the top floor decking with a lovely breeze and stunning mountain views with the beach not so far in the distance.

Definitely a great place for coffee and breakfast, great meeting point with friends or girlfriend the top deck either inside under a shady canopy roof or out on the deck grabbing some vitamin D, you can bring your laptop and work comfortably with the chill out music, has great Wifi and the staff don't mind as long as your having coffee and breakfast. On the top floor you feel like your working on a tropical island underwater with the graffiti artwork around you, some of the window opening, in the back of the room have been closed up with bricks because the views were not great they were just looking over people's roofs so they graffiti, it looking like your looking out at the ocean how brilliant giving you that relaxed chilled out feeling.

They really turned this Palm Square Restaurant like nothing, I would ever see back in my part of the world the 3D graffiti was the best cars crashing through brick walls, Fire Dragons coming out at you from every corner, Turtles and Crabs swimming around the room, Tigers coming out of the closets, it was just a adrenaline rush hitting me in every room and on every floor of this building you would never think you were in a restaurant the imagination to have put this together was extraordinary.

It really was like walking through a art gallery, I loved this graffiti showing the old and the existing culture of Thailand, just looking at these paintings tells you the history.

I find all this so inviting when, I see a place like this, it makes you appreciated there culture and makes you feel welcome this was my best experience of graffiti artwork seen in Thailand, so far and my friends were not wrong, I thank them for bringing me to this intriguing restaurant and now, I will know where to come and get a tasty full on American or English breakfast at reasonable prices.

This is such an amazing post and who knew there was this much amazing art there? I don't think I have ever seen a duplicate piece in all the artwork/graffiti coming out of Thailand! I am not sure if they redo some or if it is just that incredible!

The crab coming through the wall is epic! I love it! But, the tigers and dragons have that wow effect. The thumbnail is beyond beautiful. I cannot help but think how awesome it is for you, living there among so many different kinds of beautiful. I cannot thank you enough for putting together these stunning images that feed my imagination. Thank you! Truly!

I loved reading this post! #MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
    5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

It's amazing! I don't see any here either and I guess that always amazes me because it would be an easier thing to do and cover more area but most of them are at to send the message and copycatting themselves would probably send the wrong message. I'm glad to see that they don't replicate it and pretty amazing all the same time. Thank you so much for give me a quick reply and I apologize that I am not nearly as quick as you. Thanks a bunch

I have a feeling here they like to show there best on every piece of artwork and someone copying or duplicating would not be respected as a artist amongst them.

Haha, I am not normally as quick you just got lucky 🤣
