(Edited)
Last weekend, I was in Nakhon Ratchasima province also known as Korat city, it is a four and a half hour drive a distance of 380km from Pattaya city from where, I am living we followed Route 7 and Route 2 Highways on arrival to Korat city we booked into a hotel in the city center costing us 500 baht ($15 US) per/night-per/room we spend the first day and night in Korat city, that night we decided, that the next day we, were going to visit the Wat Ban Rai Temple.

The Wat Ban Rai Temple is basically in the middle of nowhere, it is base just over a hour out of the city center if you don't have your own transport then you need to hire a car or ask a tourist agency to take you out there, they will assign a driver, which could cost you as much as 1,000 baht ($30 US) round trip. Last week in my part 1 of this amazing temple, I took you for a tour around the outside of this temple in part 2, I will show you a little more of the outside showing you the landscape views looking out towards Korat city from the top floor of this extraordinary temple.

Stunning views from top floor and as, I mention in (part 1) they used no less than 20 million mosaic pieces of all different colors to build this temple and here you can see close up all these tiny little pieces of mosaic all hand cemented to these long stretching walls around this top floor of the temple, could you imagine how many man hours when into doing this, talking about having patience's, little a loan cementing all the pathways with these little tiles.

Everything we looked at from walls, walkways, statues to smaller temples built on these grounds were all done to extraordinary perfection and detail.

Enough talk about the outside of this temple now let me take you inside this magnificent temple and believe me you will feel like you have just entered into the third world dimension in the outer universe, the mastermind Monk that was behind this project was Luang Phor Khun and I am sure he must have reincarnated to another universe and came back to build this mind blowing temple.

At first glance walking inside this temple, I wasn't sure if, I was in heaven or in a night club all the walls around the inside were all entirely painted with animals, flowers, legendary Monks, scenic landscapes and much more the entire ceiling was painted to appear like you were looking up at the sky was just smoothing and peaceful to look at.

Walking around this rounded hallway looking at all these beautiful paintings on the wall was just unimaginable to take in, I was thinking how many different artists that must have come together to collaborate on this massive project, it would have been a sight to see all these talented artists at work.

Then when it couldn't get more bizarre, I walked in from the hallway into the center of the temple and started to wonder was, I really in a Buddhist temple, in the spacious room it was lit up just like a full DJ nightclub, glowing with colorful bulbs of lights hanging down from the ceiling in these long cylindrical nets resembling cocoons and these strange white patterns resembling something like spider webs this was really something, I didn't expect to find this in a Buddhist temple.

I learnt by some informational signage on the walls that this was to portrayed the deep dwelling of the underwater world and not in a negative way but a place for learning and development.

After looking all this glowing, sparking creativity, I made my way back downstairs and couldn’t resist having one more look around outside before heading home. This Wat Ban Rai Temple was truly a sight to behold when you think you have seen it all in Thailand, this was the most surprising for me and I really don't know what is going to top this.
