Weekly Battle Challenge: Deeplurker (Opportunity with Feasting Seaweed)
Thanks for tuning into my blog. It's a place where I want to share my thoughts, my musings, my successes and failures - it's a place for all things Splinterlands and I'd love for you to join me on this blogging journey. You can find the Splinterlands post here.
Today's topic: The Weekly Battle Challenge
This week, I got to use one of the most useful cards, the DEEPLURKER. I love him because he uses OPPORTUNITY! You can come behind the enemy and wipe him out from behind, with the DEEPLURKER'S massive attack, he is a formidable card for anyone to come up against:
I played him in a 21 mana battle with no modifications. My line-up.
4 Mana Kenya Frendul as summoner. A useful guy to use as a summoner, he gives each of my cards +1 health and +1 speed.
7 Mana Serpent of Eld - this is an amazing tank. He has the DODGE skill, and with incredibly high speed, he will dodge most of the hits your opponents tries to land. While your opponents keep missing, you will be able to take them out.
6 Mana Deeplurker - this guy plays well as the off-tank, he should have time to hit the opposing cards many times and take out most of the opponents backline, before being promoted to tank. If he does get prompted to the tank position, with his 4 attack, he'll be ready to fight.
4 Mana Feasting Seaweed - not a bad rearguard, with the +1 armour that the Kenya Frendul will give him, he'll last two hits and protect my Deeplurker. I picked this guy because his OPPORTUNITY skill pairs well with DEEPLURKER. Together, I'd say they make the absolutely perfect team.
In the end, I won this battle exactly by the script. The Serpent of Eld spent the battle dodging hits, the Feasting Seaweed made a couple of hits, and became the Deeplurker's shield, while the Deeplurker cleaned up the back-line. It was an easy enough win, and shows how the right cards working together are tough to beat.
