BIBLE STUDY HELD ON ZOOM 9TH 2022

Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of Brother Eli on our Bible study held on zoom.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is not a man . The Bible made it very clear to us. According to the Bible, Jesus Christ is not man he is a supreme being who manifested in flesh on earth to redeem our souls from condemnation.
And there proofs that Jesus Christ is a spirit and he has been existing even before the creation of the world.
Matthew 16:13-17
In this scripture Jesus Christ was asking his disciples. "Who do people say the son of man is?" The son of man here was himself. Some of them said John the baptist, some days jeremiah, while some said Elijah. Jesus Christ then asked them, his disciples "who do you say I am?" Simon Peter then answered that he is the messiah, the son of the living God. This truth didn't just come from Peter or any other living human being. It came from the living God in heaven. Christ himself confirmed his divinity nature. Christ is the son of God. And he has always been in his bossom even before creation.
Psalms 2:7-8
This scripture also proves the divinity of Christ as the son of God. God almighty was speaking to our Lord Jesus Christ here. He was telling christ that Christ is his son. He has begotten him this day before the world was created. God said Christ should ask and he would give him the whole nation; the earth and everything in it will belong to Christ.
Colossians 1:16-18
This scripture is telling us that. God almighty created everything in heaven and on Earth through our Lord Jesus Christ. He created the things we can see and feel and the things we can not see or feel. Including spiritual powers, lords, authorities and rulers. God created the whole of the universe through Christ and for Christ.
Christ was in existence before all things, and every thing have their proper place in union with him.
Jesus Christ is the head of the body, which is the church. He his the source of the church's life. He his the first man that was raised from death, because of this only him has the first place in all things.
In the book Genesis, God said let us make man in our image and likeness. This statement proves God was communicating with someone here and that was Christ and the holy spirit. This is another proof that Jesus Christ was already existing before the foundation of the world.
