I lost the chance to give what I really want to give,
I lost the chance to share the moments I wanted to share,
I lost the chance to be the best I wanted to be,
I lost the chance to have the life I truly wanted.

I lost everything that makes me wanted to satisfy pleasure,
I lost everything that felt secured and right,
I lost everything that shares my innermost faith,
I lost everything that I wanted to hopefully know more.

But it gave something deeper to retrieve more,
It gave me more freedom to keep,
It gave me new challenges to treasure,
But the greatest gift is appreciating every moment.
