El 25 de julio de 2023, Caracas, la capital venezolana, arrivó a sus 456 años de fundada, motivo por el cual quise realizar este pequeño homenaje con estas 10 diez fotografías que con mucho cariño, hoy publico para todos ustedes en la comunidad Venezuela.

Este día, me hubiera gustado visitar muchos lugares emblemáticos de mi querida Caracas, pero en esta oportunidad, su cumpleaños coincidía con una cita médica ineludible, por lo que no tuve tiempo suficiente para desenvolverme con una agenda extensa. De manera que lo que se me ocurrió, fue pedirle a mi esposo que el regreso a casa lo hiciéramos a través de algunas avenidas, en lugar de hacerlo por la autopista, como es lo acostumbrado por nosotros. Esto con la idea de aprovechar para tomar algunas fotografías desde el mismo vehículo, sin tener que bajarme de él.

Así fue como capté toda la galería que en esta ocasión les muestro. En primer lugar, coloqué una fotografía de una escultura de letras, recientemente instalada a un costado de la autopista Casique Guicaipuro, a la altura del Parque Los Caobos y que dice Caracas bella. En segundo lugar, tenemos una esquina de los bloques de El Silencio, donde podemos apreciar en todo su esplendor, la arquitectura con la que en el año 1945 Carlos Raúl Villanueva engalanó el centro de la ciudad capital al diseñar la urbanización El Silencio, la cual fue construida en los terrenos donde anteriormente existía un barrio, que fue mandado a demoler por el General Isaías Medina Angarita, presidente de Venezuela en esa época, debido a que ese barrio estaba en ruinas y había sido azotado por una epidemia, que acabó con la vida de la mayoría de sus habitantes, razón por la cual este sector quedo con el nombre de El Silencio, pues allí no se oía ni un alma.

En el siguiente lugar, colgué la imagen de una fuente del escultor Francisco Narváez, construida en la plaza Oleary de la urbanización El Silencio, fotografía acompañada por una toma de la esquina donde está ubicado el Teatro Junín, seguidamente vemos la entrada hacia la avenida Bolívar desde donde podemos apreciar las icónicas torres de El Silencio.

Ahora, ubicados en la avenida Bolívar, podemos ver el Parque Central y el Museo de los Niños.

Por otra parte, no quise dejar por fuera a la Maternidad Concepción Palacios, hospital público que ha visto nacer a miles de caraqueños, además de ser el lugar donde todos los años, nace el último niño o niña caraqueña del año viejo y el primero o primera del año nuevo. Noticia que todos los años esperan los caraqueños.

Termino mi recorrido fotográfico con dos esculturas emblemáticas de Caracas, ambas ubicadas en la autopista Casique Guaicaipuro, las cuales son María Lionza y el propio Casique Guaicaipuro.

Hasta aquí llego con mi homenaje a Caracas con motivo de sus 456 años de vida. Espero que haya sido del agrado de ustedes. Por mi parte me siento muy contenta, porque para mí esto representa un cariño para mi tierra amada y una forma de desearle un feliz cumpleaños a Caracas.

The 25th of July of 2023, Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, arrived to its 456 years of being founded, reason why I wanted to make this small homage with these 10 ten photographs that with a lot of love, today I publish for all of you in the Venezuela community.

This day, I would have liked to visit many emblematic places of my dear Caracas, but in this opportunity, its birthday coincided with an unavoidable medical appointment, reason why I did not have enough time to develop myself with an extensive agenda. So what occurred to me, was to ask my husband that the return home we did it through some avenues, instead of doing it through the highway, as it is accustomed for us. This with the idea of taking some photographs from the same vehicle, without having to get out of it.

This is how I captured the whole gallery that I show you today. First, I placed a photograph of a sculpture of letters, recently installed next to the Casique Guicaipuro highway, at the height of the Los Caobos Park and that says Caracas bella. Secondly, we have a corner of the El Silencio blocks, where we can appreciate in all its splendor, the architecture with which in 1945 Carlos Raúl Villanueva adorned the center of the capital city when designing the urbanization El Silencio, which was built on the grounds where previously there was a neighborhood, which was demolished by General Isaías Medina Angarita, president of Venezuela at that time, because that neighborhood had been left in ruins and had been hit by an epidemic, which ended the lives of most of its inhabitants, reason why this sector was left with the name of El Silencio.

In the following place, I hung the image of a source of the sculptor Francisco Narváez, built in the Oleary square of the El Silencio urbanization, photograph accompanied by a shot of the corner where the Junín Theater is located, then we see the entrance to Bolívar avenue from where we can appreciate the iconic towers of El Silencio.

On the other hand, I did not want to leave out the Maternity Concepción Palacios, public hospital that has seen the birth of thousands of Caracas residents, in addition to being the place where every year the last Caracas boy or girl of the old year and the first or first of the new year are born. News that the people of Caracas await every year.

I finish my photographic tour with two emblematic sculptures of Caracas, both located on the Casique Guaicaipuro highway, which are María Lionza and the own Casique Guaicaipuro.
