We are facing one of the best family horror films in history, by Steven Spielberg and Toby Hooper. The best moments of American filmmakers and home theaters. This is very common in Spielberg films, (most of the 80s), especially in the Reagan era, conservative family views: father, mother (the latter is usually a housewife), children (preferably both sexes) and the pet, usually a dog, has a perfect build and an enviable level of happiness.

These requirements have been met by the main family. All of the actors are played by little-known actors, giving the impression of a common American family that the audience is in complete agreement with.

This family faces a special situation in which their peaceful life will be constrained by one or more souls living in their home. His way of facing situations and facing threats will be based on unity, and most importantly on mutual love, in a relationship that resonates easily, which is different from more or less similar films.

With the background and the wonderful soundtrack created by the great Jerry Goldsmith, the magnificent performance and spectacular special effects were completed during filming.

Spielberg and his team tried to show us that even those who seem the safest can face dire situations, and how they choose to face these situations and regain the American dream.

"Poltergeist" is a successful film from the beauty of the lens and the image to the work of the actors, so the mystery and horror took center stage, and finally gradually disappears to the end of the film, in favor of visual visualization.

Finally, I would like to pay a small but heartfelt tribute to Heather O'Rourke the young actress, who died at the age of 12, is already such a characteristic image of horror films as the twins of 'The Shining', 'Freddy Krueger' or George Bush. Her performance is nothing special, but her role and the circumstances of her death have made her a myth.

They weren't wrong, because this movie is really a classic within the Horror genre (and over time, it has been aging very well).
