Commissions until I become famous

Hello my little bees~

lets don't miss the habit of showing you my creative processes!

Here I will show you my step by step of a simple commission I made for my client.

first of all use:
a pc potato
any drawing program
a graphic tablet
water to hydrate yourself so you don't die stressed in the process of creating

My client asked for a D&D character a monk
if I remember correctly (?
his descriptions were quite optimal,
and he told me that he didn't want a particular background
just a flat color
similar to the discord one and so I did, let's go to the process

simple base, simple shapes just keep it simple

  • 1- I always ask my clients for references, VISUAL references, I am quite flexible so I can easily handle different styles of drawings like a changeling but cool.

References range from :

  • eyes
  • mouth
  • hair
  • expressions
  • pose
  • clothes
  • colors
  • background

Remember, don't be toxic clients and pretend that just saying "I want a flying saucer with a geisha" is enough description, not all artists are the same, I'm talking about my case.

that said ~ hire me to draw for you ok, don't be shy, I don't bite ... well yes I do bite but in certain cases HAHAHAHAHAHA
let's continue.

Having everything I need as a base I start to build,
I have my rules, changes have costs,

BUT

I never had a client that didn't like my work,
they have asked me for such small changes and with so much kindness

Rustic sketch but with all the elements that the client asked for.

at this point this is the sketch that I send to the client and I start asking if he wants to change anything, the clients that already know about this understand that this is just a sample and that the final product will look a thousand times better... and friends... if the final product doesn't look better then they are being ripped off D:

LMAO

Now comes the cool part, the part where I start to breathe like a normal being

I call it: THE DEFINITIVE LINEART
sounds cool doesn't it?

Now it's time to make a clean lineart, where there will be no changes, since the client has liked everything, from here on comes the color construction etc.

I will show you the final result, I really liked this particular project and the pay was significantly large, so as a thank you to my client for being the first time that this person hired me, I gave him a pack with different clothes and expressions.
