The first street art found in Spain - Mural of a girl

Inspired by the cool street art pictures

As my boyfriend has been sharing these a lot lately, I think we have to capture all the street art we find during our journey in Spain as well to share them in this awesome community! To be honest, I remember Seville being filled with the coolest street art on every corner. I was amazed when we were there some years ago. Too bad I have no clue where I left these pictures, so new ones were needed badly!

Almeria region during a walk

I don't remember exactly where we were heading to because we were walking 9.4 km that day and went through all kinds of areas that we hadn't seen before. But during the walk I noticed this mural across the street and had to capture it as I think the girl looks quite cool.

I honestly can appreciate a great mural

I have seen some that were a true gem for the neighborhood while in Budapest and some are such great pieces of art that I really would not mind looking at that every day from my window. Although the street art we found so far has been disappointing in terms of the number of artworks we found, I'm quite sure soon more will be added and shared here!

Do you like street art?

And do you ever capture it when you find it during walks? I personally love to capture everything that I find interesting so I would not pass a mural without capturing it. I hope to find a really cool one soon as we will have a van in a few days to explore the area. That will at least mean we will see more of the region.

Actually it is nice to see the great artwork but it is everywhere, it can be a too much.

That's a fierce street art :) It's always nice to see something colorful along walls of streets or fences.

Street art is a way of telling the story and history of a place, when properly used and many can be very interesting and captivating.

I think it's a great skill and there can be some good street art. But I wouldn't like to see it all over town unless it was like Botticelli.

No not all over town, there are some places ruined by street artists for sure as they just ruin the street view instead of improving it.

I like it when artists and creative types revitalise an area. But the random graffiti not so much. Thanks for showing us around! loving the Spanish chapter of your blog so far! 😀

Me too! The random graffiti, especially if they ruin some cool other person's artwork, is not really great usually. I really don't see how that can add value in any way and often just feels a bit rebellious not artistic.

I really hope to find cool art in the next week when we go drive around a bit. It will be cool either way but I remember the many beautiful artworks in Seville and was kind of hoping to find more of that now haha.

It's nice to keep a sort of diary, haven't published everything yet, but picking something every day..

Thats really cool, great that you have a plan. I think also with your location, you can reach many places easily by car or even public transport.

This is a great piece of street art, I lived in Spain also for a while and in Estepona they have many murals.
