Immortality - No Wonder Why Coffee Smelled Divine All Along

Coffee Scent

Since I started drinking coffee, I've been in love with the scent. Back in the day, we used to make coffee in an old-fashioned machine using a filter. Opening these packs of coffee was a pleasure every time, I even used to sniff up the coffee scent when I used to open the packages for my mother when I was still a child. I didn't drink the coffee back then, obviously, but it's still a clear memory that I've been amazed by the scent even in my younger years.

Later in life, I learned that some coffee smells better than others. At some point, the Senseo coffee machine was released and it took me a while before I could afford one myself. Once I did, I used to take a moment and smell the scent upon opening a Senseo coffee pad package. I really enjoyed it when I opened a strong pack of pads preferably the original Senseo pads. Although there were quite a few copycats that upped their game, I used to stick to Senseo for a long time. Enjoying my cup of coffee started by opening the package or the storage box for the pads.

Divine scent

I used to wonder why this scent of coffee was so divine that there were times that I could resist drinking coffee if only I could smell it. It was as if the scent was giving me enough pleasure to not drink it when my headaches were at the top after being a little bit too addicted to my amazing coffees. I went through my withdrawal symptoms by smelling the coffee every day when my boyfriend used to make his coffee as he didn't want to quit drinking it because he had no headaches.

Immortality

Today I was browsing my social media and found a post with a title I first declared 100% clickbait as it said: "Researchers discovered immortality is closer than we think". Sure, whenever I see an article about immortality I assume it's another marketing stunt for another movie or company. Immortality is not real and is made up by the film industry, I'd say.

I was curious to read the next marketing stunt so I clicked on the link and landed on an actual trustworthy website where a lot of results from research are published. I first scanned the words and my brain registered the words "coffee" and "scent" at least 10 times, which made me wonder. I decided to read the full article and read they found proof that immortality is something we can find in our cupboards as we only need to smell the coffee for a minute straight twice every day. Research has shown that when people do this, their DNA changes over the course of a year, and when continuing to do so their life will be extended by decades.

The weirdest part is that they mentioned at some point when we have done this long enough, something changed our DNA to the point that there's no return and we become immortal. It also said that once someone is immortal and becomes pregnant, the child is automatically immortal too. Even if we never sniff our coffee again. This is amazing! The scientists who discovered this are still in shock themselves.

Life Will Never Be The Same Again

Reading this, I had to take a breath and think this through. How many years have I been smelling my coffee thinking this is so divine and now it turns out to be true? I didn't smell it long enough for a longer period of time, so what I'm going to do right now is make this part of my morning and evening routine, or wait, maybe I won't.

What does it mean exactly to become immortal, I need to think this through if this is not something I can reverse. They wrote we can't go back once we reach this point of immortality. Do I even want to become immortal? Survive everyone I know and maybe see the world suffer until eternity.

There's just too much to think about, time to make myself a cup of coffee and let the information sink in. If being in crypto learned me one thing it is not to FOMO into anything but take a step back and look at the facts from a distance first.

Well, there’s sense in simply not jumping onto the coffee-immortality ship. Obviously, once the secret is out the opportunity will still exist in the future. People could just bide their time and check out the results. Immortality comes with a “forever” tag. I guess that’s scary enough not to lust after it straight away.

Haha, I'm glad you agree with me. No need to rush into this, let's see if the immortal are really happy with their decision a decade from now and then decide if it's for me. Although I can see why someone would want to start the process a bit earlier to avoid having all these old-people discomforts. The research didn't state if immortality comes with a healthy body, lol.
