Weekend, Military open day - Vila Real

Last weekend he went to Vila Real where you can see a lot of military equipment, a kind of open day for the curious or even for young people to pursue a military career, presenting all the training offers.

It was possible to have a closer contact both with these operators and with the machines, being able to visit and even feel the feeling of sitting in an f16 in this case.
Young people are impressed and excited by this type of war machine, not for the purposes of war, of course, but for its power, strength and speed.
These machines leave no one indifferent. Mainly in purely illustrative window frames

In Portugal these beautiful machines belong to 2 squadrons the Jaguars from Squadron 301 and the Falcons from Squadron 201
The 2 squadrons of F-16 are aimed at offensive and defensive combat
in addition to its surface target operations
Daily these squads are ready
to protect Portugal's airspace.
which thus contributes to the sovereignty of Portugal

On site we can answer questions or even clarify doubts about curiosities that we may have about the machines, for informational purposes.
Several military personnel clarified doubts quickly and concisely, applying even easier terms for the little ones, I thought it was fantastic. The little ones can have more interaction with the military forces and their functions whether in battle or protection of our country and its importance

The close relationship is visible , in these photos , parents and children and even entire families spend a beautiful afternoon there with the machines and discover the various curiosities , another thing that I was able to discover is that in the air force , although in these machines there was a upgrade and GPS exists, all pilots learn to operate in a more rudimentary way, as the licenses are issued by the USA and if we have any problems they may be cut and we can still operate this equipment even without GPS.

I found out that these beautiful magines can reach about 2160 km/h and are made up of 2 fuel tanks on the wings that curiously in my ignorance I thought were bigger bombs, yes for those who don't know the fuel comes out of that kind of larger missile closer in the body of the aircraft the 2 together take approximately 6000 liters of fuel
