Encuentro de talentos || “La mejor prenda” [Esp-Eng]

❣️Hola amigos de hive!❣️

❣️Hello friends of hive!❣️

This is my contribution to this gathering of talented writers, where our friend @angelica7 invites us to write on the topic “The Best Piece of Clothing.” For a long time, I thought the best outfit we could wear was a designer piece, the one that cost the most, or the one we save for a special occasion. However, as the years have gone by and I’ve gained more life experience, I’ve come to realize that the best outfit isn’t bought in a store or hung on a coat rack; nor does it define a person’s values.

I realized that the way we dress isn't about following trends; it's about how you see yourself—it reflects your essence, your confidence, and how you choose to present yourself to the world. It ensures that your appearance is always a source of joy, not a burden; we should use clothing as a tool to show who we truly are.

At 58, I dress to enjoy myself, to feel beautiful, and to live in complete freedom—not to meet other people’s expectations. Accepting myself at every stage—with my successes, my imperfections, and my constant learning—has been the best, most comfortable, and most authentic “outfit” I could have chosen, because when we dress ourselves in self-love, it’s the best choice we can make to be happy and give our best in every endeavor and everything we do; because that way, no fashion trend can limit us.

My friend, every piece of clothing you choose says something about you. It reflects your essence, your confidence, and the way you choose to present yourself to the world. I can tell you that, after emerging victorious from my illness, my best “garment” is my attitude and my faith in God—that ability I have to transform myself and adapt to change. It means putting on empathy in the morning, dressing myself in patience, and staying strong when things don’t go right the first time—and wearing gratitude in perfect harmony as the accessory I never take off.
