What a tough experience battling for Auric Gold rank with just F2P and Welcome cards from Elyrian Magic deck! I had a great run this week to start off the Blessing of the Gods event winning 7 straight games ahead at Midnight Shadow rank. But that winning streak ends up too soon as I try to cross my current rank and proceed to Auric Gold. I ended the day losing 5 battles and went back to Twilight Shadow.

The misfortune continues as I started the Weekend Event with 2 forfeited games losing myself the maximum reward I can get at the end of the weekly event. In the end, I won 15 games out of 25 games for the Weekend Event securing myself 2x Divine Order Packs(Rare). This may not be the best performance I can do given the current cards I own to play but this is so far the most fulfilling run I did at this rank.

I strive to win more for the BoTG by meticulously taking the best moves and decisions in every match just to maintain the Auric Gold rank. Because securing this rank will get me 1.5 points for the event and 1 rank more for the 2 points. And if I fall back again to MS rank, I still get that 1.5 base points.

I still need to battle 20 matches for bonus point #2 but I'm hesitant to play 20 games more. My gut feel tells me that there are more season players in Auric Gold rank. I've seen several players at lower ranks playing with average to best core cards while I'm still stuck at using the welcome sets. So maybe, I'll pause at this level with 2.5 airdrop points earned.

I would be happy to exceed the previous airdrop points I earned the past weeks of BoTG. With 2 more weeks for BoTG event, I can definitely earn more $GODS knowing the potential of the game mechanics and meta at lower ranks.

The Elerian magic god. I played so many battles using this god, surpassing what I have committed in war god during my learning curve. I don't know if this is the meta for small players like me in the lower rank but it does a lot of help, especially for the BoTG and Weekend Rank event.

Just weeks ago, I received a Guild Enforcer card which then I used for this magic deck. The card is indeed helpful even if it was nerfed before. It allows you to take good border control against war and nature god; making enough time for you to set up your damage-neutral cards like the Underbridge Assailant and Echocaster.

Because the majority of the magic cards I used for this deck are one-time damages/buffs I usually end up winning without the casual damager cards in the neutral. And also, I make use of the cards in the sanctum, allowing me to give extra buff and damages to the opponent's god.

What do I find hard to defeat are of course the Light and the Death gods which are OP in healing and lifesteal. Elyrian is good only for damages and burst attacks. It lacks moderate healing or regeneration for creatures or the god itself.
