When All You Can Throw In Life Are Gutter Balls…
At least that is what it has felt like for the last couple of weeks. It’s been one of those one thing after the other kind of months really. I just feel like nothing is going right. Businesses haven’t been great, Crypto is down, having to go back to some delivery driving, stupid people being stupid people, world crap I have no control over but stress about anyway, getting ready to turn 40 and wondering what I am doing with myself, blah blah blah…
Enter the depression…
Normally it’s pretty easy to pinpoint the source of my depression when it comes on, but this time, it’s been basically a culmination of allot of different things coming to a head all at once.
Normally I don’t whine about it when it happens, I just go offline for a little bit and usually hit some woods or just really sleep. But this time has been a bit different and I feel like I needed my Hive family to know where the dude’s head has been, and it hasn’t been in the best place…
It’s taking me a bit more to shake the depression and anxiety that I have been feeling. One thing is that I have had to really just get out of town and into some different environments. There was also a catalyst event that prompted the travels, but we won’t really get into that… But, I mean, I live in my van… No reason on the planet I have to feel trapped and stagnant in one town. It was time to go…
Went and visited @ganjafarmer and his awesome puppy up in Vancouver, WA for a few days and stayed at a nice park over there. Smoked a bunch of weed, which I picked up an OZ for like $30, so that was really good on the budget. Nice dusk shot of the Columbia River looking into Portland, OR.
While I was there he helped me get started on some van renovations that is really cleaning up the old 21 year old look and making it fresh! Didn’t take any pictures really but here is what it is starting to look like… Getting rid of the old gold trim and going with a fresh black on white look! I have some awesome mountain graphics that I am going to be putting on when I am done with all the removal and touch ups. It’s a work in progress, but one that was needed.
Taking off old 21 year old, sun baked faded gold vinyl graphics is not easy, lol. Today I finally finished up taking off the old faded gold pin striping while I was chilling at the beach in Florence, Or. Not a bad place to work…
After a job well done, at least in my opinion, I found an awesome pull off spot on the road to take a nap and woke up in time to watch an amazing sunset.
But… It’s not just the van that got a new look either… It was time… The hair is gone…
Wow… didn’t realize how much gray was under there, lol. Guess I am finally looking like I am about to turn 40, lol. But hey at least now I can get more wear out of my hats! Having as much hair as I have, which is not a bad thing, I am kind of blessed in that actually, lol, but it gets too much and I have t really worn hats much in the last 6 years, lol.
This happened while in Vancouver at a place called The Barbers… Great shop, the barber girl was awesome. Had a great technique. The other barber that checked me in started hitting on me on the way out, so must not be too bad, lol.

So sometimes you have to begin a mid life crisis to begin to heal, lol. Even with the market dips, I am extremely grateful for crypto as I have still had a bit of income coming in to pay a couple of pls while I have an adventure. I did find out though that I can Doordash pretty much in any city in the country that has it, so I am really not going to tie myself down to one location anymore. My kids keep me close to Eugene, but I can be there in a couple of hours if need be, so it’s time for me to explore some other towns in Oregon and Washington a bit…
So be looking out for more Nomadic DJ scratch sessions from the @groove-logic account from random places as that will become somewhat of my traveling music vlog as well as musical entertainment, lol.
Anyway, just wanted you guys to know what was happening a bit with the dude.
I am refreshing my brain as well and getting back to some work this week mainly on @blocktunes and @coinlogic.online as that channel on YouTube just passed 1000 subs.

Driving that van has got to be expensive. You should check into being a mystery shopper for Market Force. In Colorado they offer Conoco and Phillips 66 gas station shops. The average pay is $20/ stop plus $10 reimbursement. They take 30 minutes max once you get the hang of it. We split the $10 in half $5 in gas and a $5 scratch ticket.. no idea what jobs they have in PNW but I've done them from WI all the way to AZ and most states in between. They also offer SONIC mystery shops and Matress Firm.. my check for last month was $2275.. part of that is reimbursement though. Just a thought
The gas fees are about as bad as using Ethereum these days, lol. I remember you telling me that one time about the Market Force and I think I just got Hugh and forgot, lol. That's actually a cool way for me to pay for some traveling... Looking into it today, lol.
Thats good you are out and about. New sceniry has to be helping. I know back in the day I used to sleep, and sleep. Man I felt so shitty. Moving around and doing something helped a lot. Sucks crypto is down, it really hinderd my plans as well. But hey man, shit isnt going no where, and you know youll always have a home here. When your ready, lets get together and try to light some kind of fire.
Also if you ever fell inclined, drive on down to the Montery Bay area, Big Sur is a great place for a Van Nomad! Also you can stop by my home and we will have a bbq and smoke some herb.
