The newest hot token: LOH
It is wonderful when projects come together and prove their success over time! I have been blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve as co-founder of two fabulous projects on Hive which are still viable and strong: @ladiesofhive and @theterminal, both of which have withstood the test of time!
In just two weeks, on 06-Sep, @ladiesofhive will celebrate its one-year anniversary! It is the brainchild of @silversaver888, and I was absolutely thrilled when she invited me to assist in establishing the community with her! Three other women-focused projects of which I was a member eventually came to an end for various reasons, so I definitely saw a void worthy of being filled.
Most of the time when she or I have ideas for improving the community, @silversaver888 and I communicate via private message on Discord and work out the necessary details. She surprised me this weekend, however, by announcing something which she had been doing in secret for the good of the project: our own community token!

The tokens will be available on the Layer-2 Hive-Engine.com exchange, as well as the auxiliary TribalDex.com and LeoDex.io Engine interfaces. Simply login to any of those three interfaces with your Hive credentials (username & Posting Key) to see your wallet.
LOH tokens can be purchased if one desires. However, they can also be earned, free of charge simply by participating in the LadiesOfHive Community here on Hive! You can win some LOH tokens by engaging in our weekly contest, more if you place a winning entry in that weekly contest, or perhaps by other means to be revealed later!
So, a big "Thank you!" to @silversaver888 for advancing our community by another step! Your careful planning and hard work in creating the token is definitely appreciated! I am so proud to be a part of this awesome project!

And I was starting to get used to Archon as LOHs Token but not clearly identifiable, unique and distinct to Ladies of Hive. Our own Community native token would be a natural fit as like other communities have done. I think it is a good 'next' move to UP OUR GAME into the next year.
Other than the mechanics of earning and accumulating, I am sure there will be some anticipation in brainstorming for Token functionality.

Ethos, utilisation, dividends, use of funds accumulated by admin for what purposes, amount in circulation / investment potential...

I see some tokens have set values and some seem to value and devalue more like stocks.
I assume the tokens that don't do this have a set value and pay dividends? Or why does the value for LOH remain constant, please?

I am certainly no expert on tokens, but I will tell you what I know. The LADY (LOH) token was created by @silversaver888 for the LadiesOfHive community. If I am not mistaken, she used her own personal funds to launch the token, but the 'profits' from the sales are being saved to enable 'staking' and 'delegation' of the tokens (both options are available for extra fees in Hive-Engine).
The prices for LOH have certainly gone up-and-down like a yo-yo. Our token can be purchased, but can also be earned by participating in the community. There are benefits for those who HODL the tokens, dividends are paid to HODLers, and occasional 'airdrops' of more tokens for HODLers. Those who HODL can also share tokens via the !LADY command in comments, and those who use that command earn a bit, too! Those who HODL earn LOH every time they post to the Community page. SilverSaver has not shared all of her future plans for the token, but she has definitely hinted that more benefits will be forthcoming as the project goes forward!
You can always check amount in circulation in Hive-Engine (currently: 117870.5), as well as look at Open Orders, Richlist, distribution, etc. Here are the posts that have been published thus far about the token, and some info is also shared in the LOH Discord.
