$ in C | S in Sea | Isn't She?

My entry for #artecency animation category

Good day! I hope you all are feeling good!

Last time, I submitted my entry for the Illustration category. In that post I promised that I'll be making an entry for the animation category, well here it is.

About My Entry

I named my entry "$ in C", still a play on the pronunciation of Ecency though I used a dollar sign which I will try to explain in the next paragraph. As I've said in one of my previous posts, I like incorporating double meanings, subliminal messages and multilayered stories into my work as much as possible.

$ in C

So for the first layer, a dollar sign in C just means that there is money in cryptocurrency. Or in other words, when the whole world transitions to DeFi(Decentralized Finance), cryptocurrency(Hive in particular) will be the new dollar bill. Still a long way to go though, but I'm still hopeful that I'd be able to witness it in this lifetime.

S in Sea

The next layer, I named my OC(Original Character) "SHE" as in Sole Heiress of Ecen Sea. In her free time, she does meditations under the sea with all of her aquatic friends. She livestreams it on her Ecency account(feature not available yet) and she gets all the upvotes every time her whale friend passes by. She's lovely..

Isn't She?

Still a play on the pronunciation(I know this part is a reach) and also a reference to the classic hit by Stevie Wonder entitled "Isn't She Lovely". SHEs parents must have been playing that song over and over when SHE was born.

How I Made It

As usual, I did the sketch on a paper with my trusted #2 pencil

Imported it to Adobe Photoshop CS4 and also did the animation there

The animation loop contains 96 frames in total. And the compression when I converted it into a .gif file ruined the quality.

Final Product

Well, that's all. I really had fun making these entries. I am not hoping to win, though it would be so dope if that happens. Anyway, the contest is still open. If you are interested, you still have around 20+ hours. Check out the mechanics here.
