Death consumes until he starts being safe

A clear head was achieved on that bench with expectations to be doing better. It gets hard when places like the Mass Pike Interchange has the Gunners waiting and heavier firepower. Another death was welcomed before moving on to another location.

"Eat my laser you super mutant weirdos and die!" Arghrash shouted while blasting one away with ease for a quick kill, before another came rushing him.

This one got off a lot of damage up close while a third had been getting some shots off from a distance which helped to bring his health down lower, this made using the shock baton not so effective when taking more damage up close, resulting in another death.

Strategy was something to prevail when fighting the super mutants this second time but how? The suicider holding the mini nuke is how.. shooting that mini nuke while they walked together meant it would explode in a spectacular show to see all of the group, just wiped out from the damage and this meant he could loot the bodies before proceeding.

"Why didn't I think to do this last time, this is what has been done in the past to kill super mutants off or at least the suicider. It is super effective once more."

After a bit of extra walking to explore around further south a discovery was made. It was Vault 81 which was closed to outsiders without an exchange for trust reasons.

The overseer was clear on what Arghrash had to bring if he wanted access to Vault 81 which included trading with people there or performing work, 3 fusion cores were required. It's just a shame he sold them and would need to be on the lookout for more, maybe only 2 if he still had 1 at base stored.

Over the hill and down the ridge at the Chestnut Hillock Reservoir, the place tends to bug people with it's giant bloatflies and the bloodbugs coming after them.

Shooting the black bloatfly was a pain with the zig zag movements up and down, it likes to do. Eventually it was killed off but not without taking a chunk of damage and this wasn't the worst thing. The bloodbugs are even more annoying and deadly if you aren't quick to take them out which is what Arghrash would find out.

"Ouch damn these pesky bugs hurt and make it hard to hit them. I should pay attention again because a molotov would have helped out here" he said before being killed by the bloodbugs.

This time he did indeed use a molotov, he burned those suckers to death with ease and made his way inside the building to have a loot of some of the usual stuff.. caps and ammo, some resources nothing special but it all counts in this death trap of a world.

He realised too late a bloodbug had escaped and suddenly came into the building and got him good.
Another molotov but this time the second bloodbug came right for Arghrash and was pummeled with bullets to finish it off.

"Time to get into the thick of danger now. I expect this place to be filled with danger but can only imagine how nice the loot must be or the amount of stockpile I can get" Arghrash thought to himself upon looking down at the Massachusetts Turnpike tunnel entrance.

Just inside was a bus which had a few medical supplies to grab with a pair of feral ghouls roaming nearby, nothing a fragmentation mine cannot fix and it instantly took them out thankfully.

Two ways were presented as an option but tactics required clearing one part and going back to go through the other in order to minimise how many enemies can creep up on Arghrash.

Thinking it was best to stick with the pipe rifle due to the mass ammo stockpile needing to be used was a foolish move though. This was a feral ghoul roamer and it was quick, moving up and taking him out with quick hits and leaving a bitter taste in the mouth.

"Looks like I may need to start using up some more supplies in this tunnel, likely the stronger weapons but also some of the chems I have which will significantly boost how well I do when the going gets tough" he thought to himself and rested once more on a mattress outside the tunnel, taking the time to go through the current supplies for the next attempt.

That mini nuke ended up being the undoing of those pesky Super Mutant weirdos xD

I see that those Feral ghouls are still formidable opponents in this 4th installment of the Fallout series, I say this because I have faced them in Fo3 and FNV and they can be quite annoying, causing you to spend a good amount of ammo and resources on them.

Nice post, mate, as always.

Cheers.

Haha yes that mini nuke is good to use against them XD.

It is the survival mode making them so much harder! Increased damage and you take more too. It is basically a hardcore difficulty but worth a good challenge.

Yeah, the survival mode adds a lot of replayability to the Fallout Games since it was implemented by Bethesda :)
