Let's Play Resident Evil Village - She is very mad at me

How the escape and lack of dying brings on more pain
Lady Dimitrescu was surely not going to follow me all the way down this hole, I thought I would be safe then.
There was a lever to open the door and I was determined to quickly exit, to get back up to the castle so the search for Rose and the mysteries around this place, could be found.. but she did follow me down. She sliced my hand clean off with her blades and the shock stopped the pain, but adrenaline kicked in as I was needing to run and escape badly!

I took my severed hand and moved around the rooms while being chased, more she walked around instead of running and I used this to my advantage. I got enough distance and got through that door this time, found my way to a statue which held the Mask of Sorrow that will be required for something, maybe those statues in the open room near the merchant.

Moving onward and into the next area and keeping away from her, hopefully she was not following now. The hand was attached once more, using the meds and my surprising ability to heal quickly.

When I got into the courtyard to head back inside the castle, I was greeted by a few of the hooded creatures who were easy to kill, more just in the way if anything. Then inside where the kitchen was which was darker, a couple more of them appeared and required some quick disposing of.

Some back tracking was required in some sense as I got back to the lower level to fight more hooded enemies, then head back out through the room with the hanging fire lantern and onto the courtyard again.
More of them bastards had come there again and waited for me, nothing could be done but fight through and take a hit here and there, before dealing with them all and clearing up the courtyard.

I headed back upstairs and to Lady Dimitrescu's room where I could unlock the door once again, she must have locked it before leaving to get me. Not far outside of the room was the castle map which would be helpful to see where I have and haven't been, while getting prompted I should escape the castle now.

Another item to be used somewhere, was found after searching upstairs and killing more hooded enemies, along with the usual loot and also items like the crystal skull to be sold. I found a room with a piano in it, which could be played but I wasn't ready to try work out just what notes are to go with each key, so I headed back to the Dukes room and ensured I saved the game before continuing on now.
Before I saved though, I ensured I sold the valuable items for more money which, I then used to upgrade the shotguns power and also to buy more ammo for the shotgun and handgun, ready for the upcoming battles I should be doing at some point.

You and I are at about the same point in the game. I remember the hand getting cut off quite well and that is just too hard to believe. That's some amazing first aid spray we have to be able to re-attach a limb.
I found the castle stressful but fair, it is a good game. I did get a bit frustrated when i was trapped in rooms with her children but it is kind of telegraphed to you about what you need to do if you cannot run away.
I've been really impressed with the loading times or I should say, lack thereof. They have done a really good job with this game.
The castle hasn't been tough, but I had some trouble working out where to go next for the escape part and did have to back track a bit, but it has been a great time so far.
Lack of loading screens helps keep it moving smoothly, though I liked the old school Resident Evil, with the door scene.
Good to hear you are enjoying it too mate! Keep going and see how the rest play out and the bosses.
I'm at the point now where I have made it past all the children and am now facing off against Heisenberg or whatever the guy's name is that can control metal like Magneto.
I have beaten all them as well and Heisenberg, I don't remember actually facing him yet just his taking control of trying to hurt Ethan a few times.
this RS tittle looks awesome! love the evolution of the saga! thanks for share
Glad you like it, well worth the play. Cheers!
