Join me to learn a new native food I just learnt to cook.
Hello everyone, it's food time and I really wish we all would really learn from this.. what am I sharing today? I will be sharing how I made a local dish which is semovita and stew with an accompaniment of jute leaf to enjoy my meal. After I have been taught how to make some dishes, I then decided to practice what I have learnt and see if I would be able to create something good out of it..
Items Used
- Semovita
- Jute leaf
- Fishes
- Pepper
- Locust beans
- Onion
- Vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Seasoning cubes to taste.
1 .To prepare the semovita, you will need a pot of water to a boil on fire.
2 .After the water boils, add the semovita flour to the boiled water then stir continuously until it forms a thick dough in the pot.
3 .After you have mixed it thoroughly, turn down the heat a little and cover the pot back to cook for about 5 minutes.
4 . After leaving to cook, and you noticed it too hard, then you add a little water to make it lighter and soft to eat.
5 . Then take it out of the fire to serve in a plate or rapper.
6 . To prepare the stew, get a pot on fire and add vegetable oil of a little amount and allow to boil.
7 . Add the grounded pepper into the hot vegetable oil. Add the seasoning, salt everything you need for the stew to be delicious..
8 . Cover the pot and leave it to cook for about 5 -10 mins and taste if it has a good taste. Then take it away from the source of eat.
9 . To prepare the jute leaf, add the chopped leaf into the pot and add small water and leave to cook. Add little seasoning and stir.
Finally, my food is ready to be served hot. Come join me as I enjoy my meal
