Pain, Persistence and Hive PUD
It seems a fitting title for this, my first real post in months (again). So 'persistence' is a promise I am making to myself... and the pain is due to a recent development. And today is the first day of the month, so...
You know what that means: Hive Power-Up Day! My participation in this monthly event has taken a few hits, but I'm back and more than happy to wish everyone a happy and productive #HivePUD.
Hive Power Engaged.
And tendonitis too, apparently... hence the 'pain'. It began affecting my left shoulder almost a week ago, and it has really thrown me into a miserable tailspin. I'm not sleeping much and my days are still pretty painful overall. I didn't realize what it was at first... I thought I had a pinched nerve in my neck or something.
It's terrible. Let's just leave it at that.
So while I wait for that to blow over, I'm determined to find the groove I've been needing for the past two years. That means being a lot more engaged here on #Hive... and there are a few other related projects I've been meaning to ramp up. (More details will follow in the coming days.)
New Hivian Life
I haven't been entirely absent though... I do my best to keep my curation rate up. There is so much great content here in the ecosystem that it really isn't that much of a challenge. I also keep up my progress on #RisingStar and #DCity, as well as actively monitoring my Hive Engine portfolio.
So a Hivian "second wind" might be more accurate. And it's a strong one... I can't wait to put all the pieces in place and get some momentum. But I won't put that cart before the horse... it just needs to happen.
Then... Checkmate.
I don't have a better lead into such a random development, but I've recently gotten into CHESS in kind of a big way... so although it might seem odd, I feel like I might want to do an occasional post about it. No promises. :)

If you're into chess, let me know in the comments and we can connect on chess.com and Lichess... there's also a community of players here on Hive, so we're definitely not alone.
I know this is a hectic and disorganized post, but I really just needed to take the first step (again) and get something done. Things will get more precisely defined very soon.
Progress is a beautiful thing, but it's usually quite slow and difficult. So be it.
This tendonitis can get the hell out of here anytime though! Just saying.
