Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde la última vez que me pasé por aquí para publicar algo. Han pasado muchas cosas desde que dejé de escribir en el blog. Una de esas cosas es que recibimos la noticia de que íbamos a ser tíos y abuelos por primera vez en nuestra pequeña familia.
Mi familia está formada por mis padres, mis dos hermanos y yo, siendo yo la mayor, mi hermana la del medio y mi hermano el menor. Desde que recibimos la noticia nos hemos tomado todo con mucha calma porque sabemos que un hijo es y será siempre una bendición porque son regalos de Dios. También sabemos que son una gran responsabilidad desde el cuidado hasta la educación, principalmente en casa pero estamos muy contentos a pesar de todo lo que implica tener un bebé.
It's been a long time since I last stopped by to post something. A lot has happened since I stopped blogging. One of those things is that we received the news that we were going to be uncles and grandparents for the first time in our little family.
My family consists of my parents, my two brothers and myself, with me being the oldest, my sister being the middle and my brother being the youngest. Since we received the news we have taken everything very calmly because we know that a child is and will always be a blessing because they are gifts from God. We also know that they are a great responsibility from care to education, mainly at home but we are very happy despite everything that having a baby entails.
Sigo confeccionando ropa y ahora mucho más porque voy a ser tía de una preciosa niña (todos aquí querían una niña) gracias a Dios que nos concedió esa petición, aunque si hubiera sido un niño igual sería bienvenido. Decidimos comprar tela para hacerle ropa y una hermana de la iglesia tiene una hija que también hace ropa y nos dio retazos de tela para la bebé. Mi madre hizo algunas bandanas y turbantes con los retazos más pequeños.
Aunque la noticia fue inesperada, pudimos comprar todo a tiempo, Dios suplió todo lo que necesitábamos y al menos no le faltará ropa, gracias a Dios. Mi hermana pudo ir a sus controles, ahora está de 38 semanas y el bebé está listo para salir, solo falta un poco más y estará con nosotros.
I am still making clothes and now much more because I am going to be an aunt of a beautiful baby girl (everyone here wanted a girl) thank God who granted us that request, although if it had been a boy he would have been welcome anyway. We decided to buy fabric to make clothes for her and a sister from church has a daughter who also makes clothes and gave us scraps of fabric for the baby. My mother made some bandanas and turbans from the smaller scraps.
Although the news was unexpected, we were able to buy everything in time, God supplied everything we needed and at least she will not lack clothes, thank God. My sister was able to go to her check-ups, she is now 38 weeks and the baby is ready to come out, just a little more to go and she will be with us.
I made a lot of clothes for my niece and none of them I could record the process because I did it under very distressing and sad moments due to my grandmother's illness and her departure from this world. It all happened here at my mother's house and the truth was exhausting with endless emotions. It has not been easy but not impossible to cope, although sad things have happened God has given us comfort in the midst of the storm and the arrival of this princess will be a ray of joy for us.
