Currently I am believing
In the coming winds of change
For I have been in this cage
For now far too long
And I can no longer
Deny this unquenchable longing
Searching for freedom and light.
Currently I am wishing
Upon my dim lucky stars
Fighting to shine from a far
Longevity of this miserable life
Until I dig deep enough
To unearth my elusive
But much needed inner peace.
Currently I am fighting
The normality in my house
Darkness became my spouse
And these unresolved issues
Have me ferrying tissues
Everywhere I go
To contain their flow.
Currently I am looking
To get to the peak
Where my flaws won't blink
When fingers cave in on us
There where self love oozes
From the wells of healing bruises
To the springs of self acceptance.
Currently I am loving
On strangers passing me
On the streets as I lean in
On the warmer eyes
Even as I notice my undeniable ties
With the hollow dark ones
Matching the ones on my mirror.
Currently I am hoping
That ink will drag me
Back to my non-existent glee
Where light fighting to find it's way
Like vegetation on trampled clay
Through my sunless
Looking like wilderness.
Floating somewhere overthinking life :D
