Hola nuevamente a todos mis grandes hivers que hacen vida en esta comunidad; el día de hoy paso por acá a traerles un proyecto del cuál estoy muy contenta, ya que no sabía de lo que era capaz de lograr con mis manos; hasta que tomé este reto.

Les cuento que yo doy clases de tareas dirigidas por las tardes; luego les hablaré de eso, la situación es que la niña que tengo de 2do grado, le pidieron en su escuela una maqueta relacionada con los tipos de dientes y su mami me preguntó si podía ayudarla con el trabajo que debía realizar; para lo cual aún sin saber que iba a hacer no dudé ni un segundo en decirle que si, que la ayudaría con la tarea de la niña.
I tell you that I teach homework classes in the afternoons; later I will tell you about it, the situation is that the girl I have in 2nd grade, was asked in her school a model related to the types of teeth and her mom asked me if I could help her with the work to be done; for which even without knowing what I was going to do I did not hesitate for a second to say yes, that I would help her with the child's homework.
Debo admitir que no estaba segura con que material elaboraría dicha maqueta, por un lado pensé en anime, en botellas plásticas o cualquier otro material; hasta que una amiga me comentó acerca del foami moldeable; que nunca lo había usado por cierto, y la verdad es muy cómodo y ligero trabajar con el...estoy muy pero muy satisfecha con el trabajo que realicé.
I must admit that I wasn't sure what material I would use to make this model, I thought about anime, plastic bottles or any other material; until a friend told me about the moldable foami; I had never used it by the way, and the truth is very comfortable and light to work with... I am very, very satisfied with the work I did.
Paso 1
Tomamos el foami moldeable rosado, amasamos hasta compactarlo, luego daremos forma de "U" para simular la encia y con la ayuda de un exacto, haremos una abertura para ir incrustando cada diente.
We take the pink moldable foami, knead it until it is compacted, then we will give it a "U" shape to simulate the gum and with the help of an exacto, we will make an opening to embed each tooth.
Paso 2
Luego tomamos el foami blanco y hacemos el mismo procedimiento; amasamos y vamos moldeando los dientes.
Then we take the white foami and do the same procedure; we knead and mold the teeth.
Paso 3
De igual manera hacemos para moldear las muelas; a las que a su vez le haremos unas marcas de estrella con un palillo en la parte de arriba; para simular las estrías que tienen las muelas.
In the same way we do to mold the molars; to which in turn we will make some star marks with a toothpick in the upper part; to simulate the grooves that the molars have.
Paso 4
Una vez que tenemos todos los dientes, colmillos y muelas; vamos incrustando a la encía hasta completar todos los dientes y una vez completado este paso en ambas encías; cortamos el sobrante.
Once we have all the teeth, fangs and molars; we embed the gum until all the teeth are complete and once this step is completed in both gums; we cut the excess.
Paso 5
Luego de esto, tomamos las medidas de ancho, largo y alto; para elaborar la base de nuestra dentadura, y lo plasmamos en una carpeta; ya que con este carton me resulta más fácil recortarlo; las medidas fueron: 3cm de altura, tomando en cuenta tanto la encía como los dientes, 13cm de largo y 12cm de ancho.
After this, we take the width, length and height measurements; to make the base of our denture, and we shape it in a folder; since it is easier for me to cut it with this cardboard; The measurements were: 3cm in height, taking into account both the gum and the teeth, 13cm in length and 12cm in width.
Paso 6
Luego tomamos la carpeta y aprovecharemos de utilizar la marca de la mitad de la carpeta; y haremos la base tipo acordeón, para que nuestra dentadura quede abierta.
Then we take the folder and we will take advantage of using the mark in the middle of the folder; and we will make the accordion type base, so that our denture will be open.
Paso 7
Pasamos ahora a marcar y recortar el carton, luego marcaremos y recortaremos el mismo molde; pero está vez en foami rosado; y lo pegamos por ambos lados.
Now we mark and cut out the cardboard, then we mark and cut out the same mold; but this time in pink foami; and we glue it on both sides.
Paso 8
Luego tomamos una cinta del mismo foami rosado, muy delgada; para enmarcar nuestra base y que los bordes se vean lisos y bien acabados.
Then we take a ribbon of the same pink foami, very thin, to frame our base and make the edges look smooth and well finished.
Paso 9
En este momento colocamos pegamento a cada pieza; tanto en la encía de arriba como la de abajo y la adherimos a la base.
At this point we place glue on each piece; both on the upper and lower gum and adhere it to the base.
Paso 10
Ya una vez que está completamente adherida; haremos 2 rollitos con una pequeña tira de foami y las pegamos en el fondo de la parte de abajo de la boca; para darle altura a la lengua.

Paso 11
Para hacer la lengua y la úvula, tomaremos un pedazo de foami moldeable rosado y lo pintaremos para darle color un poco más rojo; en esta ocasión como no tenía a la mano pintura roja, le apliqué sombra roja y funcionó a la perfección.
To make the tongue and uvula, we will take a piece of pink moldable foami and paint it to give it a little more red color; on this occasion, since I didn't have red paint on hand, I applied red shadow and it worked perfectly.
Y este ha sido el maravilloso resultado de lo que elaboré.
