MY NICHES ON HIVE

Ever since I have joined Hive, I think it is safe to say that it has now become a part of my daily life. In other words, it has become an addition to the culture I had prior to Hive. Of course, as a newbie we have always seen people who either onboarded us or were on the chain before us, giving us advices out of their own experience. Advices ranging from avoiding plagiarism, sensible engagements to finding your niche and playing by it. The latter here is what I am going to be sharing on this piece here.

As someone who, prior to coming in, was already scouting around Hive through @peakd for posts to read - I was not able to comment then because I had not yet registered. So, I was anxious to just get on board and fire my rocket boosters. And with the constant help of those behind my onboarding I was able to keep up, though not with that original enthusiasm but a gradual buildup. From my intro post, the rest has been but a little history.

In my intro post, I remember adding some skills I possessed including coding, photography et al. The thing is I had been doing some of these things before Hive but this chain actually brought it out in a way through the appreciation. Appreciation, here, is in the sense of upvotes and other users engagements on my posts.

For about 2 months now, I have been posting contents for at least 5 times per week, largely due to the auspicious aid of the Newbies Initiative - @newbies-hive . This is unlike before when I may hardly do a piece in a week. The little consistency has been helping me improve on my writing skills and the confidence therein. I also remember the time, maybe my first 10 posts, after I was done with typing it on my laptop, I would send it to some of my friends to proof-read it for me before I posted it. That was because I was not confident in my writing then. At times, I realized that some of those I sent it to did a rather lesser job than I did, you know, I still had the original copy to crosscheck. My friend @monioluwa really did good for me here.

In the aspect of photography, I am into mobile (phone) photography which I do as the spirit leads. That does not mean I seldom do it but sharing it is something I don’t do often. In my gallery, you’d find so many cool photos which never made it out to the public. But I am the happiest man when I shoot a photo and it looks dope. Coding? - for now, I am still nowhere to be found yet.

For someone who likes food, of course, I am an ardent visitor to the community associated with it. And I enjoy savouring the virtual aroma of some delicacies as I scroll through the contents in there. Here, for some of the contents I have published, my little photography skills have been quite helpful too.

So, I can say my niche is in the aspect of free writing, food, photography, and finance. The finance is new baby I have been exploring of recent. I even posted my first leofinance post not quite long ago. Naturally, things I write about are those that I can relate to in my everyday life and not just because I wanted to write and get some dough. That is why you’d see that I have fun when writing then, for example, if it was a contest I would be creative in getting my topic which could differ from that of the contest but still communicate the same idea.

You could see that I have been keen on the communities showcasing my niche as well as others I still seek to enjoy the moment such as the Movies and Tv Shows Community; even though, I am more active in some than the other. There are still other ones that may still come on in the future. For example, the music, coding and gaming communities should anticipate my arrival!
