MY LIFE WITHOUT HIVE

It's really been like yesterday when @monioluwa and @starstrings01 did their part in ministering the gospel of HIVE to me. Basically, it has been all about learning and unlearning certain things. Up until now, I have not really thought about the what if? - What if I had not been on HIVE till now. Anyways, here is my version of the "LIFE WITHOUT HIVE". My version here does not only include without hive but the goodies I have enjoyed on hive too so far. If you would love to hop on the challenge too, check out this post by @rutablockchain

Prior to joining HIVE, I wasn't really into writing. I dabbled around a bit but I never really delved in fully. I liked to refer to myself as a man of many nations - in the sense that I wanted to know at least something about everything. I was not really an outspoken person. And what is the essence of knowledge without the wisdom to apply it? Thanks to Hive, I'm starting to find my voice.

So, as I said earlier, I did little writing. The forms I did then were just some random motivational quotes which I would either just write down in my notes or sometimes post on Facebook then.

But what I was doing then was never really enough to convey the happenings going on in my mind down to life. Hence, I was not always satisfied or felt good about my pieces of work but I had a tonne of them all in the small head of mine. At other times, I would feel that that one big day is coming when the universe would just smile upon me and bestow that miraculous writing gift on me. Well, I guess it may have happened later without me knowing.

So, fast forward to HIVE, I told @monioluwa that I was not really made up for HIVE but he encouraged me and he explained to me how I could learn on the job and that there were several other things like initiatives and communities that could help me get better at writing.

Now, one of the major things HIVE bestowed me with was the platform itself to offload my thoughts totally without still feeling like it's not enough. The engagements I receive, and the freedom to express myself fully are some of the things that keep me going. It has made me even be very active on the chain because I get a whole lot by just coming online and seeing tons of creativity. Now, HIVE has displaced some social media apps relative to the amount of time I spend on them; as I visit HIVE even more than Whatsapp!

However, I would still attribute it to me reading lots of other peoples' content which in turn resulted in me getting enough momentum to fire on. If Hive had not been into my life, maybe I would still be writing unsatisfactorily and having a whole lot of backlogs in my head waiting to be put into concise writing.

Moreover, from the above point, it branches out also to the presence of communities where you can read content, network with other users, and more importantly, see how things are done and then follow suit. The kind of people I have been following closely has indirectly helped shape a better mentality in me. I have learned and unlearned deep stuff. If I am not yet on the platform, the things I have learned, for example, concerning web3 may not have been there.

In fact, from my exploration of the different communities, I have been getting a new wave of ideas to put together to add value to the system. Such as those ones that deal with photography, food, hangout, finance, etc. These are helping me to become versatile and creative and not just one-way traffic.

Besides, HIVE gave me rewards for the little I am doing. To me, the earnings are a means of appreciation as well as motivation to keep on with the force. The force to keep on adding value to the chain, building oneself and still, ultimately, getting rewards. Without HIVE here, I am sure there could not have been a well-deserved reward, for me though. Relative to biology, HIVE replicates a good symbiotic association - one between the blockchain and its users - such that it should be added as an example in any biology textbook!
