ASUU VS FG: MY VIEW
About a month ago, the ASUU embarked on a warning strike to drive home their beats into the FG ears - and maybe to allow them to do just the needful before the ultimatum elapsed. It is a pity that the ASUU strike has now become an every administration issue which had never been combated thoroughly for once. The last HIVE-Naija Engagement brought about by @samostically experienced the turn out by concerned users/students pulling out their voices and thoughts from the bottom of their minds to show their respective views.
This issue, I could say, has become generational as I had been hearing the term "ASUU strike" since I was in primary school. Maybe because I had siblings in tertiary institutions already then. It has even become one of the key prayer points that the parents/guardians of any child attending any public institutions pray to their Supreme being. The issue which has been long unresolved reincarnated to cause this year's piece. A 2009 agreement renegotiation - as far back as 13 years ago - can you imagine! and UTAS, among others, were the main bowl of contention.
I would not want to be one-sided so I will just stick to my own little research. The so-called 2009 shit has just been too far left behind which the FG cunningly just plays the game of hide-and-seek with the ASUU strike upon strike. I just think this lies all with the FG just wanting to continue the shady games by just releasing a placebo-ic fund, then the members resume and then come back in some months' time to lay down their claims again. Also, I think the representatives of the staff union may have some things up their sleeves too. Note, this is just my view here and not a confirmed thing. How were the FG representatives being just able to kind of cajole or prey upon that of the staff union to allow and accept short-lived funds and convince their members to call off the strikes, resume, and then FG laughs behind them - cos they are still coming back! Anyway, it is just my view.
On the issue of a payment system which ASUU is rooting for their University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) as against the old model in use. I think here the FG are looking to reduce the usuals - the number of ghost workers and those who may be lecturing in more than one university whereby their work is not even undeserving. We can all imagine a lecturer who is supposed to teach 12 times in a semester only comes just a few days to exams and rushes to just do some shady teaching. Conversely, I suppose ASUU wants more monopoly on how they are being paid but their points are not yet being driven into the government’s mind.
Now, the strike had been extended by 2 months - whooping 8 weeks. It is and has always been, we, the students who are just the main ingredient in the continuous existence of these schools are always the ones to bear most of the brunt. I heard the ASUU president on the radio saying after a reporter asked him a question of who was going to bear the brunt of the strike - and the extension. He said that it was every concerned member including the FG, ASUU members, and the students. But I beg to disagree, it is us the students who are the most affected and not equally affected as he may have claimed.
What do you think the solution to all these maybe? I heard someone say "Every student should contribute 200 Naira for ASUU". Well, do the math.
The people doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved deeply with her group and @fyrstikken . Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. I cant prove she is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing it. I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have tried to kill me and are still trying to kill me. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome.
They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years.
What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. Everybody is just as tired as tired itself. They - ASUU and FG have always been going back and forth on the issue!!
What do you expect in a country that Education of it's citizens become secondary while political ambition and embezzlement become priority. It's no a story that Nigerian Educational System get deteriorating as day gone by. It's very unfortunate that a common Nigerian has no hope in his country.

Well, I must apologize, it's sort of an awful position to be in right now as a student--caught between lecturers' propaganda and the lackadaisical attitude of the Nigerian government. Thankful you have hive and you can work on your financial future whilst they sort themselves out.
I never really paid much attention to school. I always knew I would do something outside the system and here I am today. Fortunately for me, I did not experience that many strike actions during my uni days which I am thankful for.
This life no balance at all. You knew you'd do stuff outside the school system, - no strike came on. We wey wan do stuffs related t our course, boom strikes!
