The agony of the mother of twins
Having a child or children in a good condition is the best feeling ever. Children in a home give joy and completeness.
Children are the mother's happiness and the father's crown but have you thought of it on the contrary?
Today my friend, just my age, gave birth to twins. I was happy to get the news and hurried out of my house to visit her at the hospital.
On my arrival, I found out that she wasn't happy. I held her close to myself though not too tight because she had been stressed already but at least close and tenderly.
When I did, she cried in my embrace. I was surprised as to why this lady should be crying after giving birth to two magnificent kids and also alive to see the two of them.
She wasn't supposed to cry instead she was to be happy. I didn't know what was bothering her so I decided to ask.
She opened up and told me that the father of her children denied her and swore never to have a hand in her pregnancy. He even used to beat her up when she carried those kids in her womb.
I never knew all this story. I felt sad that she's my close friend but then hid everything from me and always feigned happiness whenever we were together. I was disappointed and angry because such a man deserves to be thrown into prison.
I warned her about him when she introduced him to me but "never advise a woman in love". She loved him like crazy and didn't see his actions as a bother not until it got severe. Now this is the consequences of having to date a man that's not in his right senses.
The story is he asked her to abort the pregnancy at it's early stage but she refused. She loved him and wanted to keep the kids so she still had a link with him after all even if he didn't want her anymore. She tried talking to him but he occasionally beat her up each time she tried.
Thankfully after all these beatings she didn't have a miscarriage or die in the process. She thought she was gonna give birth to just one child, never did she know she was carrying two.
She had refused to go for a scan due to personal reasons. I really pity her. She has become a struggling mother of twins and right now got no support apart from the support from loved ones like myself.
She's totally helpless right now, the hospital even increased her bills due to the fact that she has twins. She's thinking of how to cater for these two children all by herself. It's not even about the finances but the stress of having to carry both of them when they cry, especially at night when she knows she's got no one to help her.
I've been thinking of how the hell she'll feed, bathe, cloth and put these kids to sleep all by herself. She's been an amazing person to me and so in my little way, I'll keep going to help her out.
I wish she never got pregnant. He claimed to love her not until she took in for him and the acclaimed love disappeared into thin air now she's left to suffer alone.
When those kids finally grow up and become something ideal to the society I really hope he won't show his ugly face to come apologizing because I'll personally take it upon myself to get him arrested.
Right now he has gone to find peace in another woman's bosom leaving the other to suffer. If it were me I wouldn't carry such a pregnancy. If he needed it terminated then so would it have been but my friend doesn't believe in terminating pregnancies.
At least it's her first time taking in so she decided to keep it thinking that the father would accept it not knowing that fate didn't have it to be so for her. You can imagine her pain right now.
Those kids are beautiful and would be really appreciated if they arrived at a better time and in a right condition but then she has to accept her fate and single handedly bring them up.
Definitely they'll grow up to ask of their father but letting such a tragic story to their ears wouldn't be nice at all. They are forever gonna hate the man that got their mother pregnant. Right now they are so ignorant of their being.

How tragic. Early and unexpected motherhood. This is really terrible and traumatic.
Apart from the fact that the guy denied the children, he was a woman beater too... I can only imagine.
It's going to be a tough one. Single parenting is a very hard task. I hope she comes well.

My goodness, this your friend story is so touching i nearly had tears running through my cheeks while reading it.
that's just one thing about life sometimes the people we want and cares for in our life are not meant for us , i wish she had listen to you when you where warning her but like you said women in love cant see any signs.
My heart 💖 is with her and i pray she met someone that truly deserves and will treat her kindly.

This is so touching ,firstly I will say a big congratulations to her , I really would love to have twins for my second issue..I so much love and adore twins like crazy.
Secondly I think your friend has every reason to be happy, she deserves to be happy..most men are unserious and irresponsible so if the man was to be available he may not be responsible,that's what most women face in this part of the world,they hustle and suffer alone to raise their kids with little help from family and loved ones..I pray God help all the good mother who supports and take good care of their children.may they not laabour in vain. And also may God continue to bless and keep the good and responsible men out their who don't joke with the wellbeing of their kids.. one love.

This is quite sad and I am sorry about your friend's situation. A beautiful occurrence that should be a cause for good news is now one of heartache.
Isn't that usually what some ladies face? I believe we should be careful when it comes to relationships. The saying love is blind is true most times and when such love comes under test, that's when the couple would know whether or not it's genuine.
I hope your friend find people that will help and support her in every way. Like you said, being a single parent is no easy task!

I'm glad she didn't abort them. And I also think these children saved her life. Had she agreed to get rid of them, or never become pregnant, even today she would still be receiving beatings. Eventually one would be severe enough to kill her.

She should have taken legal action for the abuses she suffered. Who knows whose gonna be the next victim of him.
Well, the journey ahead of her will be very struggling but I pray and hope that she overcomes this. Mental support is very necessary for this situation I think she will be blessed to have you there with her. Best of luck. May the Almighty do good care of those little souls. Unfortunately, stories like this litter our society. We claim to be more enlightened, liberal and dedicated to make sex free for all but will never wish to take responsibility. While the woman's situation is pitiable, she chose her fate the day she chose to sleep with the man and then sealed it when she opted to keep the pregnancy despite the obvious negative signs.
This is where we get the idea of justice wrong. Do you think jailing him will ameliorate the condition of your friend? My own idea of justice would be to compel the man to take responsibility for the woman and the twins. If he does not have the means to sustain them, my idea of justice would include getting him a job whose pay would be enough to take care of himself, the woman, and the twin.
What else can be more justified than asking the man to pay to take care of the woman and kids from his sweat against his will? Definitely, not jailing him. Unfortunately, many of us are blinded by the herd mentality of the media and the society at large as to what constitute justice. Saw your post via dreemport
He actually is financially stable but I really don't know what his problem is. In a way I do say his village people are on his matter honestly.
Some men are like that proving so heartless. They only love what is under the skirt and after that, nothing. They will not love when there is pregnancy.
Hmmm...this is so sad indeed. This is why ladies should be careful of the kind of men that is coming their ways. Many of them can't bee trusted.

This is really a sad one.. Oh my God!.... I am just speechless... I can relate to what she is passing through right now.
Why would she still remain with a man who rejected the pregnancy at first? Why would she even be with a man who beats her?.... Now she is left all alone with her beautiful twins.
Good a thing she didn't abort the babies.. It will be a difficult thing taking care of them but I know she will definitely scale through with the help of friends and family and of course, you are going to be there for her.

Stories like this break my heart every time, as I just cannot understand why anyone would engage in premarital sex when they are fully aware that they are not ready to father a child. It's evil. A man should be ready to stand by his actions, and take responsibility of his seeds.
The man in question, what if his own parents abandoned him at birth, would he have liked that? He's heartless!
