Nature's ecosystem: awareness could help!
The #KISS blogging idea for this week was once a debate topic back when I was in highschool. To make our points valid, we debaters had to do deep research and now I'm facing the same topic again which actually intrigues me.
The planet Earth is made up of many different ecosystems, each with its own unique characteristics and functions.
It includes all of the living and nonliving things that interact with each other in a particular area. The living components of an ecosystem are called biotic factors, while the nonliving components are called abiotic factors. The relationships between these biotic and abiotic factors, as well as their interactions with one another, make up the functioning of the ecosystem. Ecosystems can be large, such as a forest or a coral reef, or small, such as a backyard garden or a puddle.
There are many things that can affect the ecosystem of a planet and I'll be listing out the few I have knowledge of;
Climate change: The Earth's climate is changing due to the increase in greenhouse gasses, such as carbon dioxide, in the atmosphere. This can lead to a variety of impacts, including more frequent and severe storms, droughts, and heatwaves.
Deforestation: Cutting down forests can have a number of negative impacts on the ecosystem. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen, so when they are removed, the levels of these gasses can become unbalanced. Forests also provide habitat for many species of animals, so their loss can lead to the extinction of some species.
Pollution: The release of harmful chemicals and waste products into the environment can have a number of negative impacts on the ecosystem. This can include air pollution, water pollution etc. Few years ago in Rivers State, a state in Nigeria, there was an outbreak of black soot alongside the covid and this was as a result of the incomplete combustion of Fossil fuels. It was a cause for alarm as the air was too polluted for anyone to breathe, especially for little children as it caused respiratory problems for lots of people.
Where minimalism comes in;
A minimalist lifestyle if taken up by one third of the world's population can help alleviate some of these ecosystem pollution problems by reducing the overall impact on the environment. For example, by consuming fewer resources and generating less waste, individuals can help reduce the strain on the planet's ecosystem.
Additionally, by choosing to live in a more environmentally-conscious way, individuals can help raise awareness about the importance of preserving the planet's natural resources. There are lots of ignorant people in the world who have no idea of the pollution they're causing everyday over the latest purchase of worthless, space consuming items. Creating an awareness program can at least help reduce the pollution the world is currently facing.

Population make us to be living in danger, assuming the air we breath are not good enough it can thus became a problem, it is our duty to helped one another to stop causing population, so that we can live in our beautiful planet free from danger.
Thank you for saying this @teknon
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it 🤍
welcome @teknon, your post is awesome.
🤗🤗
You just created awareness for me. I have forgotten these school days' work. Loool
Creating awareness to people is essential in everything. Especially minimalism. Clutter is like the middle name of many homo sapiens
I'm glad my post created awareness for you🥰. Thanks a million for stopping by
