Garden Update: Let's Check the Veggies in our Front Yard!!! :)

Recently, we have been clearing the front yard because we're going to do some construction on it to prevent flooding during rainy season. Although the water subsides as soon as the rain stops, but it would be better if it continues flowing rather than getting collected in front of the house while it rains.

We haven't really started the construction yet, but we cleared most of the things especially those from the store. We also plan to keep some vegetables in our front yard.

This is still temporary as we need to elevate and cement this area soon. There used to be lots of cases and bottles of soda and beer here, but we got rid of most of them. This area would look even better after we're done with this project.

In few weeks time, this bonsai eggplant will start producing flower... and months later, we'd be able to see some eggplants and harvest them. This is what I like about bonsai plants. They don't grow big, so they don't take up a lot of space.

Regular okra and tomato seedlings. I'm thinking of replanting the okra in the community garden and maybe leave a couple seedlings at home. Also, can't wait for these tomatoes to grow and bear fruit. I want to eat tomato-based sinigang the ingredients of which is from our garden soon.

We bought two sacks of garden soil recently... we just need some more pots. haha

We already replanted one of the bigger tomato seedlings. :)

We also have a couple of spring onions and that tiny seedling in the recycled plastic cup is the guava seed I germinated last time. Only two survived out of the three, though. xD

Lastly, we have this Kangkong. I believe the one with the long slender leaves is called water spinach, while the other with bigger and wider leaves is land spinach. To be honest, I don't know the difference when it comes to taste because they taste the same and we cook them together. haha

Most of our water spinach died except for this one, so we took some land spinach from the community garden and planted some on this pot at our home garden.

There are a lot of vegetables in mind that we're planning to put in our front yard once the place is ready. Of course, we'd keep planting in the backyard and beside the house as well.

I'll be updating as soon as we're done. Though next post may focus first in our backyard vegetable garden. :) See you next time!!! (^^,)/

Yes... guess we're lucky that everyone in the family can actually take care of plants well. :) Thank you! :D
