Reflecting About Life: "I Am Not A Tree"

As we drove to my workplace, I glanced out the window to admire the beautiful surroundings.

As I happily gazed around us at the rising, strong trees, I realized how much I had loved trees since I was young. When I was still a student, our teacher had us compare ourselves to things surrounding us, talk about what it might be, and explain why.

I used to compare myself to trees back then. For me, trees tend to be strong; they endure and remain standing even after storms.

However, I was placed in a universe that makes me anxious and concerned about growth, so my life is not the same as it was before. And for a while, it was making me feel worthless and like I was suffocating.

Like trees that weathered many storms, I also faced many challenges. I fruited and bloomed, but now that life is throwing so many challenges at me, I'm wittered and will eventually die like a tree when there aren't enough nutrients from the soil and water to sustain it.

And the last quote I read struck an emotional response with me. It goes like this:

"Keep moving forward and chase your dreams. You are not a tree that remains stationary."

We encounter many difficult circumstances during our lives. Some situations are uncontrollable, and conditions can be controlled. There are many surprises in life, and they all have unanticipated consequences. It asks, "Are we prepared for such life changes?" Let's stop being passive bystanders and stop accepting everything as fate. We must make a choice and proceed!

Throughout the eight years of my career, I dealt with many people and overcame many obstacles. They were afraid to step outside of their comfort zone and go for more advancements. Why would you stay in a situation in which you are unhappy?

We must acknowledge the connection between happiness and productivity. It is best for you if you are content with your current situation. However, the meaning of joy expands when we speak about it. We take into account every facet of our lives. Regarding a partnership, job, health, place of residence, etc. Act in a way that fulfills you. Let's make the most of this lovely life and make it worthwhile.

Trees are a symbol of many branches and deep roots. It is related to human life in some way. Trees epitomize gracefully growing, changing, living, and passing away. However, we have ample time to sit in silence, live a life filled with regret, whine about the state of affairs, and remain dissatisfied with the circumstances. We are not trees since we can move from one place to a better direction. Let's change the way we go about doing things.

You are far more affected by your surroundings—for better or worse—than you may realize. This includes your friends, coworkers, location, habits, and way of life. Without changing some aspects of your surroundings, making a meaningful, long-lasting change is impossible.

Think about your routine and way of life: are you consciously putting yourself in settings and circumstances that encourage personal development? Or have you settled into a stale, comfortable, and uninspired routine?

We are designed to grow beyond the initial locations in which we are planted. We are instructed to move freely, even if that means remaining close to our current location. However, unlike trees, we can choose whether or not to move and how quickly and far we want to go. It feels liberating to realize that we are never entirely confined to a single location, situation, or emotion. It also makes us more open to the possibility of change.

It is pointless to waste away every second of life. A life that is fulfilled is far superior to one that is prosperous. Move forward, and be proud of your strengths. We are all incredibly talented and have great potential. Let's look into our unexplored potential.

I've learned a lot about life and myself thanks to trees. Right now, I'm pursuing my goals, being bold like a knight, always putting my courage in armor, charging headlong into battle, and seeing my dreams come to pass.
