Season Hunt Challenge. Walk in Catherine Park

On one of the last days of autumn, when the leaves had fallen from the trees and lay like a golden carpet on the ground, not yet covered by snow, I went for a walk in Catherine Park. I was so excited about the weather forecast, which promised us warm, sunny weather, that I completely forgot to analyze the rest of the information. In fact, if I remembered how many people come to walk in the parks of Tsarskoye Selo on weekends, I would have chosen a more remote and less accessible park for the walk.

On the other hand, when else can we go to Tsarskoe Selo, if not in the fall? The parks of Tsarskoye Selo are made in such a way, as if on purpose (or not as if, but exactly as the landscape architects intended it), that a walk through the alleys in autumn brings the greatest pleasure. The parks in Peterhof and Strelna are also very beautiful, but they are more focused on summer: the fountains, the cascades, the shore of the Gulf of Finland, these are more for warm summer days.

You can get the most out of a walk if you walk through the park during the Indian summer, but in the days of late fall, a walk brings many pleasant experiences, too. The leaves from the trees and bushes have almost completely fallen off, only the larches have not yet dropped their yellowed needles to the ground. The park becomes transparent at this time of year, through the graphics of the branches you can see the park pavilions in the far corners of the park.

Beautiful scenes... Love the 'misty' trees (even without a mist)

Yes, isn't it? Those bare trees create a misty perspective with no real mist:)
