Musk doesnt care about competitors. After all, Tesla patents are all open. So any car company can use them.
So it is a bit presumptive to believe he approaches this like many others would. He did mention open sourcing the Twitter software (we will see if he was serious about that).

well, he's gotten quite a bit of moolah from the People thanks to massive subsidies.
It's clear that lithium batteries in cars isn't saving the planet - it takes 500k lbs of earth/minerals to make one 1000 lb battery in his teslas.
I am all for the needle moving forward but I'm not going to wear blinders now that Elon did something I like.
Elon making people seethe across the board today on Twitter has been absolutely deliciously satisfying though. I'm almost too full on self-delight right now.
