My experience as a wedding guest
Wedding ceremony is one of the events usually hold by weekend in my community, hardly will a weekend pass by without a wedding ceremony in my community.
So, today I will be discussing my experience as a wedding guest.
My experience as a wedding guest....
On Saturday, 15th of January 2022, I was invited to a wedding ceremony in my church, both the bride and the groom are members of my church.
So, very early on Saturday morning I have dressed up and went straight to church, because we agreed to meet in church for as many that will be attending the ceremony, in order to move in mass.
Also, we will be traveling to a neighbouring town 'Idanre' for the ceremony. My experience started right from the church, when we were told that the vehicle that was supposed to convey us has disappointed because he the driver said his vehicle developed a fault that morning.
The youth pastor and the wife of the church pastor came with vehicles to church, so we determined to travel with their vehicles, since the two vehicles can accommodate all of us and by that time it was already some minutes after eleven (11:20am), so we were rushing thinking we are late for the church program for the wedding ceremony.
We spent almost two hours for the journey, we arrived the town around some minutes after one (1:10pm), but we didn't know the exact church where the wedding program was held, so we called a bike man and showed him the invitation card that was sent to our church to direct us to the venue of the program, but to our amazement he took us to different place. Thereafter, we asked people living in that environment to direct us to the right place for the program, and fortunately a woman volunteered to lead us to the exact church where the wedding program was conducted.
Eventually, when we got to the church it was around some minutes to two (1:50pm), and we thought we have missed the church program but to our greatest surprise, the church program was still going on because, it was a Celestial Church. The church program ended up around some minutes to four (3:50pm), so we left for the reception in another venue, but this time we didn't miss our way because, we quickly followed people that know the venue for the reception.
By the time we got to the reception, it was around some minutes after four (4:25pm) and the newly wedded couple has not arrived, because we left them at the church while they were taking some pictures with the church members. So, we had to wait for them in order to present our gifts to them, by this time all of us are really hungry and the food at reception was not yet served, thank God I ate before leaving home.
Eventually, they arrived the reception venue around some minutes to five (4:45pm), and we are still traveling back to our town so, immediately they were around the pastor's wife walked up to them to present the gifts to them, so that we can start coming back because it was getting dark by that time. Thank God our food was packed for us inside a disposable plates with soft drinks, immediately we entered our vehicles and set for the journey, some of us started eating right inside the vehicles.
At the end of the day, we arrived Ondo around some minutes after eight (8:15pm) in the evening, because there are lots of hold up on the way since, thank God for the journey mercy, though it was stressful. This was my experience as a wedding guest.

I really enjoyed your account and experiences as a guest at a wedding. Although you didn't write the names of the newlyweds or post their pictures, everything else you tell was like an odyssey, like a confusing trip because you didn't know the address of the church or the reception place. A celebration is always complicated, not only for the hosts who prepare their party well in advance so that everything goes well and yet, there is always something pending or some unforeseen situation that creates discomfort to the host. On the other hand, there are the guests, who like all of you, did not take the time to find out where they wanted to go.
The most beautiful thing is their attire, I liked the clothes of the young ladies, they look very pretty with those "turbans" on their heads and their gala dresses. Here in Venezuela we do not use that kind of model to dress, everything is the culture of each country. As for the young people, very handsome; their colorful costumes make them look very elegant.
I was pleased that they were able to eat and drink something before leaving and then they arrived without any mishap thanks to God.

Me agradó mucho tu relato y las experiencias vividas como invitado a una boda. Aunque no escribiste el nombre de los reciencasados ni colocaste sus fotografías, todo lo demás que cuentas estubo como una odisea, como un viaje confuso por no saber la dirección de la Iglesia ni del lugar de recepción. Una celebración siempre es complicada, no sólo para los anfitriones que preparan su fiesta con mucha antelación para que todo le salga bien y sin embargo, siempre hay algo pendiente o alguna situación imprevista que crea molestias al anfitrión. Por otra parte, estan los invitados, que como todos ustedes, no se percataron en averiguar bien la dirección de donde deseaban acudir.
Lo más bonito es su vestimenta, me agradó la ropa de las jóvenes, lucen muy bonitas con esos "turbantes" en su cabeza y sus trajes de gran gala. Acá en Venezuela no usamos ese tipo de modelo para vestir, todo es la cultura de cada pais. En cuanto a los jóvenes, muy guapos; sus trajes coloridos le hacen ver muy elegantes.
Me agradó que pudieron comer y beber algo antes de irse y que luego llegaron sin ningún percance gracias a Dios.
