Cross Canada Trekking - Part 5 [Viewing the Viewings that Banff has to Offer 🧐]

Finally, Mountains. After morphing my back into a question mark, sitting for hours and hours and hours on end sitting in a vehicle, we finally get somewhere nice. It was a bit interesting seeing those mountains again. Like a lot of things, photos don't really do it justice. Also, I was a bit worn out just from all the driving. But alas, we were finally somewhere 'touristy' and it was time to explore. We rode the Gondola to the top. It was a bit expensive but I guess everything has gotten kind of expensive, and really I guess in a way it was worth it. Given the time, we wouldn't have been able to hike up there. And I suppose that thing wasn't cheap to build either.
One thing I kept seeing all over the place, was this "An Experience by Pursuit." It seemed like every other 'attraction' was branded with this, I quickly realized it was a company that was into this type of 'adventure tourism/hospitality' stuff but it kind of opened up my eyes, how there was people out there taking advantage of opportunities, making it in this world. Kind of like the Gondola, that was at one time somebodies idea that came to fruition through thought and action. While we were at the top of the Banff Gondola, they had a whole 'entertainment complex' built up there, with museum, it even had a mini movie theater. We sat down to watch this video, and it was some blow-smoke-up-yer-arse look at how sustainable I am piece but it kinda got me hyped a bit for photography, because photography was the gimmick they used in this mini-movie they had going - some grandma talking to her grandson and she was showing him pictures she had taken over the years. Anyways, it wasn't the best day to be up on the mountain, the visibility was a bit limited by the fog. But it was still nice to be up that high. We did some other stuff that day but seeing as I took so many photos, I'll save it for the next part.

After riding the Gondola, I spoke to this man and he wanted me to take his picture, which I did. I emailed him like he wanted me to, but I never heard back from him. I hope he got his picture πŸ™‚

I'm surprised my parents agreed to do this trip together. Afterwards, my mom told me it was mostly for me, the trip.
