Canadian WinterThyme Viszions - The End of Winter (4/4)

avatar

Originally I had intended this to be a three part series, but going through my catalog, I found some extra goodies that were otherwise just sitting there. Waiting, smouldering, aching to be set free.
In the dead of Winter, I watched a video I had recorded during the Summertime. It seemed like some alien world, after being in the silence of winter for so long. With birds singing and insects buzzing, the landscape completely different. The difference as stark as going from night to the day. Cycles, within cycles, within cycles.

Wow! Amazing nature, wonderful capture and great view. But how did you managed to solve the issue of broken snowmobile belt?

Thanks for sharing this amazing post and have a wonderful day.

Ah, it was a really long day in the end... someone had to return to camp by foot, and get a different vehicle, it took hours... Thankfully the snow was hard enough that we could use the 'quad' to pull the snowmobile to the road. Otherwise I'm not sure what we would have done. Then we had to make two trips to town, first one with the quad and the second one to bring the broken snowmobile. I'm glad the quad even made it, it's pretty beaten up itself and seemed like it was gonna die as well. I was pretty cold at the end of it, just sitting there waiting for hours. But at least I took some pictures and it could have been way worse. Now we always make sure to have a spare belt for the snowmobile, like you are supposed to. And I make sure to bring a way to start a warming fire in those situations, even if it seems like everything will go okay, you never know.

Sure, we can predict what may happen but we have to be prepared and I hope that you have learnt your lesson already.

Thanks, I know the zen garden, it's pretty amazing what you'll find out there sometimes :) And those nice evening colours are hard to beat 😍

That definitely looks like being out in the wild. Who knows what one may find out in places like that. Good thing you have your camera handy to capture and share with us.

These are some excellent shots. My two favourites are the rays of light and lens flare because of its complex dreamy quality and the evening decor 3 because of the vibes.

Awe, thanks a lot! I hope to capture more like these. Now that Winter is gone, I kinda miss it 😂 But it's nice to see more sun, vegetation and warmth 😀
