This brings more joy in the self understanding of different communities and structure. However, there is one common thing in these different communities, that's their common shelter. A shelter for bondings, contribution, and happiness. Every community has their own special way of crafting their time in these shelter.
Mila Kagyu Ling Monastery is one such common shelter for the local communities. Located near the river bank along the main highway, it is a pure spiritual and natural place to be. Built from the people from Himalayas, is not only a holy site but also a recreational spot for many.
Slight uphill climb from the highway brings you towards the monastery. The prayer flags lying on the opposite side of the path brings you more closer to the holiness. While, the dense forest provides natural calmness, the hills adds up to the color and contrast of the monastery.
When you enter the gate, a mini fast food stall is placed in the spot. The owners of the stalls are also the caretakers of the arena.
I had to wait for the door to open and go inside the monastery. During the period I hovered around the located picnic spot.As of the Covid situation most of the area had bushes growing all around, still it was natural shine on the monastery.
For a period time, I tried local fast spicy food out there so as to wait for the door to open as well. What a great Chatpat it was. Mixed with boiled potato, noodles, and some veggies. It was as good as it could be. I always like to try something that would go as a support. Infact it turned out vice versa. It was a treat.
After a while, the monk opened the door and with permission I made my way inside. It is a beautiful, well-put monastery. The Lord Buddha statue, and wall art on Lord Buddha added the spirituality inside the monastery. I couldn't wait but prayed for a while. And, looked all around the walls to connect more on the holiness.
The most beautiful part was the monk being humble, calm, and radiating a pure energy. I took my time looking into the wall art reflecting the lifestyle of Lord Buddha. That added more of the positive energy. I always say, the prayer flags, and the Buddha praying location connect spiritually somewhere in the heart.
What a day! I had. Good interaction with the locals, been to have some great food, and connected spiritually with the monastery.
It felt the quest was fulfilling with its own essence.
Thank you for going through the blog.
