Hello dear community, today I want to make a catharsis because on October 19 is commemorated worldwide the International Breast Cancer Day, as a way to raise awareness among women about the importance of performing the respective annual exams to detect any signs of this dizzying disease and thus to combat it in time to increase the chances of survival, since the most important thing is prevention, so when you feel any abnormality you should go in time to get your mammogram and your breast ultrasound. Self-examination is also important, that is why I ask you, the woman who reads me, to TOUCH YOURSELF. Also this day is to honor all the brave women who have gone through this disease and at the same time to encourage and promote the necessary investments worldwide to strengthen scientific research on this disease that has a high mortality rate, but with prevention can be attacked in time.
Breast cancer is a type of cancer that starts with tumors in the mammary glands affecting mainly women.
The 2 most common types are:
- Localized ductal carcinoma: where the proliferation of malignant cells begins in the ducts of the breast and lobular carcinoma in situ: where the cancerous cells reproduce in the lobules. I invite you to read the following link READ HERE
In my family we had the painful experience of living the process of this terrible disease on my paternal grandmother, who struggled many years with this disease. For this reason I plan to have my mammogram as soon as possible, since in the last 2 years I have not been able to do it due to economic factors.
The most terrible thing is the cost of these studies in this country, something that should be free, but that is how the health service works.
I particularly think that instead of promoting marches with pink balloons through the governmental entities, we should fight for specialized equipment in each health care center and that it should be accessible to all. Men also get this type of cancer but statistically it is much lower.
We must not lower our guard. In my case I have a history of breast cancer and cervical cancer, so genetically there is a predisposition, that is why it is so important to raise awareness. This year I was able to make my gynecological appointment and my respective cytology, so without further ado, before the end of the year I should be having my breast exams.
Many women battling, others losing the battle, all are heroines of their own life story. Today I am wearing pink for my grandmother, because I honor her, I admire her enduring strength and her struggle and I still deeply hurt by her departure, because she was a mother to me. I carry her memory and her bravery in my soul and in my chest.
Do not neglect yourself, explore yourself, touch yourself, you can make a difference, know your body and at any sign of alarm go for your exams, your health is worth it.

Hola querida comunidad, el día de hoy quiero hacer una catarsis en virtud que el 19 de Octubre se conmemora en todo el mundo el Día Internacional del Cáncer de Mama, como una manera de crear conciencia en las mujeres sobre la relevancia que implica realizarse los respectivos exámenes anuales para poder detectar cualquier signo de esta vertiginosa enfermedad y así poder combatirlo con tiempo para aumentar las posibilidades de sobrevivencia, ya que lo más importante que hay es la prevención, por eso cuando sientas cualquier anomalía debes acudir a tiempo a realizarte tu mamografía y tu eco mamario. La autoexploración también es importante por eso te pido a ti mujer que me lees TOCATE. También este día es para honrar a todas las valientes mujeres que han pasado por esta enfermedad y a la vez para fomentar y promover las inversiones necesarias a nivel mundial para fortalecer las investigaciones científicas sobre este mal que tiene una alta tasa de mortalidad, pero que con prevención se puede atacar a tiempo.
El cáncer de mama es un tipo de cáncer que se inicia con tumoraciones en las glándulas mamarias afectando principalmente a las mujeres.
Los 2 tipos más comunes son:
• Carcinoma ductal localizado: en donde la proliferación de las células malignas empieza en los conductos del seno y el Carcinoma lobulillar in situ: en donde las células cancerosas se van reproduciendo en los lobulillos. Te invito a leer en siguiente enlace LEER AQUÍ
En mi familia tuvimos la penosa experiencia de vivir el proceso de esta terrible enfermedad con mi abuela paterna, quién batalló muchos años con este mal, para mi es una guerrera de vida . Por tal motivo tengo pensado lo más pronto posible hacerme mi mamografía, ya que en los últimos 2 años no lo he podido hacer por factores económicos.
Lo más terrible son los costos de estos estudios en esta país, algo que debería ser gratuito, pero así funciona el servicio de salud.
Yo particularmente pienso que en vez de promover marchas con globos rosados a través de los entes gubernamentales, se debería luchar porque en cada centro asistencial se dote de equipos especializados y que sean para el acceso de todas. A los hombres también les da este tipo de cáncer pero estadísticamente es muchísimo más bajo.
No debemos bajar la guardia. En mi caso tengo antecedentes de cáncer de mamas y de cáncer de cuello uterino, así que genéticamente hay una predisposición, por eso es tan importante crearme conciencia. Este año pude realizar mi cita ginecológica y mi respectiva citología así que sin más excusas antes de culminar el año debo estar realizándome los estudios en las mamas.
Muchas mujeres batallando, otras más perdiendo la batalla, todas son heroínas de su propia historia de vida. Hoy me visto de rosa por mi abuela, porque la honro, admiro su fuerza aguerrida y su lucha y aún me duele profundamente su partida, porque fue una madre para mí. Su recuerdo y su valentía la llevo clavada en mi alma y en mi pecho.
No te descuides, explórate, tócate, puedes hacer la diferencia, conoce tu cuerpo y ante cualquier signo de alarma acude a realizarte tus exámenes, tu salud lo vale.

I got so scared when my Aunt said something of a lump on her breast. Thank God it wasn't cancer. The doctor affiliated it with age.
