What perfect topics from Hiveghana this week , all so captivating. And I have choosing among them to write on the question number 1️⃣ My favorite day of the week.

Saturday has been my favorite and perfect day of the week since even while I was in college. Saturday seems to me a very peaceful day of the week because then as a student I attend classes from Monday to Friday which usually are days with so much work to do especially that of assignment and personal readings for those core subjects. As a student 👩‍🎓 then I don’t wait till examination approaches before reading. So I make sure to cover sone topics of my core courses during the week and then sleep all morning and into the noon 🕛 for a nice rested weekend.

All I need to do those days is get up briefly for breakfast 🍳🥞and go back to bed till noon 🕛 when I will set out to wash my clothings for the new week. It was a perfect day of rest for me then since Sunday is a day of worship and church being compulsory for all boarding students.

And after college, now married with family and working, Saturday has become so much more a perfect day for me. I have aligned things in a way that I don’t have to over stress myself since things to be done on Saturday has a roadster of its own. This means that house chores like cleaning, washing and going shopping 🛍 with groceries by the side. All I need do is perfect my timing.

As a working mother who deals with clients, I do not want to over work myself with house chores during the working week as it can lead to fatigue causing lapses in the job areas , so Saturday is my perfect 👍 to go day, with lots of rest in the morning,, making sure not to get out of bed before 1:00 am.

And once am out of bed, I will have breakfast 🍳 of tea 🍵, pancakes 🥞 or cereal with my family as we relax at tge dining table. This time is always a special time especially if my girls are around for the weekend from school 🏫. Then its laundry 🧺 first. Then little tidy here and there with my family assisting. Shopping 🛍 for the new week for some finished items to be replaced in the pantry and grocery for vegetables 🥗will end the day with lots of fruits 🍉🍌🍎 to replenish the body . However, when there are some engagements and outdoor activities, some chores are moved to upper Saturday attending only to the priorities because the day ending with shopping 🛍 means lots of goodies for the family. Saturday evening is usually a time to be with family over movies 🎥🍿 with some popcorns, chats, quality discussion and analysis over any family issues.

Why not Sunday? Sunday is a day of worship. Church sometimes is also hectic since somedays are for group meetings, And once am home it’s straight into the kitchen to cook meals that will serve the house for another one week. Thank God for those who invented and manufactured Refrigerators. I prefer to cook and preserve, saving myself the stress to do that every other day during the week apart from the once I cook for the gastronomy communities here in Hive at intervals.
