Let's Party || HUB AMBASSADOR Party Week 4

avatar

Hello fellow VYBers!

Welcome to yet another VYB HUB Ambassador party! Being a HUB Ambassador is an important responsibility towards the VYB community, we must keep the engagement going at all times. This party is to bring people together to sing and dance and have some fun!

VYB PARTY!.png

The first 3 parties were hosted by @mineopoly, @funshee, and @vikbuddy. This is the fourth of the month, I know you guys might be tired of partying from the previous weeks but keep the spirits high and make some noise yet again.

Ok so the party starts with this Netflix series, Bridgerton, which has recently gained a lot of popularity is among the most-watched series. It's a story that dates back to the 1800s when siblings are trying to find love. It holds great importance for this party because we here promote love (through engagement and upvotes) and ideas, and so does Bridgeton.

No party goes without drinks and food, so here you go!

Next in line are the awards.
Post of the week goes to @taskmaster4450 for his wonderful writing Hive will create a lot of big fish https://www.vybrainium.com/hive-167922/@taskmaster4450/hive-will-create-a-lot-of-big-fish-in-small-ponds
The post talks beautifully about the communities, how they are important, and adding value to the platforms. There's this one paragraph that especially caught my attention.

"We do have to mention, by a whale, we are not referring specifically to having the most tokens. In this instance, we are basing it upon having the most influence. Here we are likely dealing with knowledge to start. We can also add input to the community, charisma, and approachability to the list. Obviously, there are a variety of factors that enter the picture."

How can we miss the quiz time? Let's hop on to some exciting brain twisters.

  1. How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?
  2. Should you do the right things or should you do things right?
  3. If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?

A little hint, none of these brain twisters have just one answer 😃 All comments to answer these brain twisters will get a full upvote from me (although it's meager but every penny matters, right?)

Thank you all for being a part of the VYB family and attending this party. See you next time!

Beautiful !LUV

I'm glad to see we finished one round of parties every week.

Thanks for adding a post of the week selection. Taskmaster is one of the most consistent writers and not afraid to go against the mainstream.

I would add a link to the vyb.hub post:

The big question now is... What is our next step?

Are we going to continue these parties once every four weeks or not. It doesn't seem too difficult to me. Vikbuddy says it would be a good idea to change ambassadors every month. I have no problem with that. I think @calumam chose us because he knew we would do something. Now that the mold is set maybe others could follow.

I am cool with hosting these parties forever. But yes, I do believe others should also have the chance to be the ambassadors, it does give a good feeling. Ambassador or not, my parties will continue and you are always welcome there :)

Then as long as our names are on the Ambassador list lets keep the party alive. It seems that @vikbuddy is a lot more busy these days but he still hosted his party so I think there is no problem. @calumam has vision for WOTW to include other OTWs. I thought that was cool, but in reality I have had a hard time to write about anything these days and I missed last week's WOTW.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

I love this question and want to ask the same question to @buffalobison. I think she has no idea how old she is until she hears her knees crack. Since I moved to Korea different people count ages in different ways. So I basically lost track of how old I really am. I spend all day with elementary school students. They often ask how old I am. I have answered anywhere from 17 to 103 depending on how I felt at the moment.

Should you do the right things or should you do things right?

The answer to this question of course is "YES! You should!" and "NO! YOU shouldn't". No one has any idea of what is right these days. Let's say you do all the "right things" but later discover these things were really the wrong things. It's kind of a sad life. On the other hand the one who works on getting things done right accomplishes a task and does it with pride and perfection. He may be a scientist working on a theory of relativity. Years later he finds his work is used to destroy others.

I often think of Rudyard Kipling's Poem:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?

This one is really unexpected and in doing so delivers a punchline and dilemma. By law the ambulance driver is required to stop if he hits anyone. He would be responsible for dealing with a hit and run if the driver continued on his duty. The first thing for the driver to do is to report to the dispatcher who sent him. After an exchange of information the ambulance driver may be sent to complete his original emergency duty or another car may be called depending on the severity of the circumstance. I think if I was the driver I would have already peed in my pants.

how I felt at the moment.

That's my answer too :)

On the Right things or things Right question, right and wrong and purely subjective and one must not engage in deciding that. Rather they should focus on giving their best with what the situation allows.

I think if I was the driver I would have already peed in my pants.

This was like a party popper :P

Thank you so much for answering these questions! You get a full upvote.

Age is only a construct. Look how much fun my friend is having here. You can never have enough.

You know the law on ambulance drivers, I have seen an actual accident with an ambulance. They checked to make sure everyone was alright and continued to the hospital. They can technically be charged by the police but they let this slide. A high stress job dealing with actual life and death, I believe the police did the right thing.

Yup,

Age is like time. You can manage to bend it based on the gravity or the situation.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

I might have lost count of my age, so I will start thinking of the past events that happened during the time I was born. Like, who was my country's president, during that time? guessing the age of those people that were born at the same time as me. If after all these I still can't remember my age I will just go with the saying 'Age is just a number' !lol

When I was little, we will asked our old grandparents their ages and they will start by telling us, it was so, so and so years before or after world war II, they were born a year before Mr so, so, so came to power.

At the end of the day, we do arrive at an approximate age for them.

Should you do the right things or should you do things right?

I should always strive to do my best because that is the only thing that will make me sleep better at night.

If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?

The ambulance should definitely stopped to help the person and called for more help while at it.

Thank you @sugandhaseth for hosting the last party for this round !luv
