Meatballs has been one of my favorite dinner food since last year when I began cooking for myself. My sister gladly shared how to make it for a certain dish (which I will be sharing here as well in the future). Yuuup.. I will show you different dishes with meatballs because this meatball recipe makes around 32 balls and it felt redundant to only make one kind of dish with this much meatballs. For now, I will show you how to make meatballs, the easy way.

Making the meatballs is important because it will be the main ingredient on my succeeding Chef Straykat Cooks! blogs.

This is all you need to make meatballs:


โ€” INGREDIENTS โ€”

Half kilo ground beef
Half kilo ground pork
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
2 egg yolks
1/4 tsp. all spice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 onion (minced) - optional
Salt and pepper


โ€” PROCEDURE โ€”


  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Don't forget to wash your hands before mixing the ingredients!

  2. Scoop some of the mixture and roll into a ball.

  3. Pour some oil on the pan before frying. It's fully cooked when the meatball is slightly burnt and firm.

โ™ก Note:

  1. You can choose to add minced onion or omit it instead. I used to add it before but I chose not to include it on my recent meatball recipe and it still tastes the same.

  2. Store meatballs in freezer if you're not cooking it for the day. Only cook meatballs you need for the dish. Don't cook everything all at once and store in the freezer. When defrosting, put it out of the freezer ahead of your cooking time because it takes a while for the meatballs to defrost.

  3. Don't forget to put a cover on your pan if you don't want to get hurt by ocassional oil splatter. (The only thing I despise when frying meatballs!)

And there you go! Now you have cooked meatballs! We're now ready to cook different meatball dishes or if you feel lazy, you can easily pair it with tomato ketchup and rice! But since I'm a little extra, I will be creating a couple of dishes out of it. Please look forward to it!
